Hi😊, I’m Nina from Austria 🌱🌍

I’m a social worker and nature lover who enjoys living simply, learning new skills, and helping wherever I can. With experience on farms, with children and animals, and in gastronomy, I bring flexibility, reliability, and positive energy. Traveling is my way to dive into new cultures, learn about traditions and stories, and experience daily life in different parts of the world.


I grew up on a farm, so I’m used to working outdoors, taking care of animals, and getting my hands dirty when needed. Horses, cattle, cats, and dogs were part of my daily life, and I’ve always enjoyed helping with gardening, household tasks, and cooking.

Later, I trained and worked as a social worker with children, teenagers, and parents. This gave me strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to create a safe and positive atmosphere. I also worked in gastronomy for several years, mostly in the kitchen and bar, where I learned teamwork, flexibility, and how to stay calm and reliable even in busy times.

I’m an active and outdoorsy person who loves hiking, climbing, and being in nature. I enjoy practical work, learning new skills, and supporting projects where I can contribute with both my hands and my energy.

Travelling for me is about immersing myself in local cultures, learning about daily life, traditions, and myths, and discovering sustainable ways of living. Workaway feels like a wonderful way to exchange skills, share good energy, and grow along the journey.

I have training and experience as a social worker, supporting and working closely with children, teenagers, and their parents. This taught me patience, empathy, and good communication.

Gastronomy:
I worked several years in gastronomy, mainly in the kitchen and behind the bar, so I’m confident with cooking, preparing meals, serving, and keeping things clean and organized.

Farm & animal care:
Growing up on a farm, I’m used to outdoor work, taking care of animals, gardening, and helping wherever needed. I don’t mind hard or dirty work and enjoy learning new practical skills.

I’m active, outdoorsy, and enjoy a simple lifestyle close to nature. Animals and children have always been part of my life, and I enjoy caring for them as much as I enjoy helping with practical work on a farm or in a household.

I love meeting new people, make new connections, sharing good conversations, and experiencing cultures in an authentic way. For me, travelling means immersing myself in daily life, learning from others, and giving back with the skills and energy I bring.

I’m especially curious about sustainable lifestyles and self-sufficiency, and I love discovering traditions, myths, and local stories when travelling.
