Hi!

Our adventure started over 5 years ago. We have always daydreamed about travelling around the world and 2 years ago we finally took the leap and started our amazing adventure! Over the past years, we have lived between Norway and Italy, gaining valuable experience in the hospitality field. Our journey as travelers has also grown immensely, as we’ve spent months backpacking Southeast Asia and Oceania immersing ourselves in new cultures, and embracing life on the road.

We are Giulia and Giorgio, a 28-year-old Italian couple who love travelling, meeting new people, stepping out of our comfort zone whenever possible, and discovering different cultures (and food, of course!).

Giulia is a sweet, empathetic, and creative soul who has a deep love for the arts, including music, painting, and fashion (where she has worked for over five years). She adores animals, the outdoors, vegetarian food, and—most importantly—cakes!

Giorgio is an adventurous and curious person who enjoys taking on challenges and is always eager to learn new skills. With a background as an ICU nurse, he’s a caring and helpful person who loves nature and has recently started playing the guitar, spending hours trying to emulate his favorite musicians. He likes gardening, woodworking and cooking. Oh, and he’s also a big fan of cakes (but better not let him bake one)!

We can’t wait to meet you and share wonderful experiences together!

Giulia has creative skills, such as painting, drawing, handcrafting but also basic knowledge of Adobe suite. She has experience on caring for animals and children (her mother's kindergarten). She is also a wonderful cake baker.
Giorgio has a nursing bachelor, problem-solving (and making) skills. Likes technology and is a computer freak.
And we are willing to learn and practice on new skills.

We stayed at Barbara’s house for 2 weeks and it’s been a good, but challenging experience. Her house is located close to Kerikeri’s city centre and there’s a lot of tracks and little coastal towns that you can visit from there. Great couple, hard working, can turn their hands to anything. They have the right attitude to the exchange and are really interested in things. We had great conversations about life, about NZ, history, language etc. We would definitely have them again!

We have just finished our two weeks period with Simonetta and Gary and has been fantastic! They live in a beautiful mansion in the countryside surrounded by peace and serenity.
