    I am currently travelling after graduating from university last year. I am starting my job as a primary school teacher this September. I would love to help teach English / volunteer in childcare and local community projects as I am passionate about education.
    I enjoy immersing myself in other peoples cultures and getting to know how other people live!

    Working as a teaching assistant in a special educational needs school has helped me to develop strong abilities in individualised support and adaptive teaching methods, honing my patience, empathy and problem-solving skills. This role has significantly improved my capacity for effective communication, tailoring my approach to each students’ needs. Equally, I have further refined my organisational and collaborative skills by working as a teaching assistant to various colleagues in a dynamic educational environment.

    Global Youth Ambassador, Theirworld (December 2024 - Present)
    As a Global Youth Ambassador for Theirworld, I have been selected to represent a leading organization dedicated to youth empowerment and global education. This role highlights my commitment to social impact and showcases my ability to collaborate effectively with diverse groups and leaders. It reflects my strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, along with my passion for driving positive change on an international scale.     In my role as a valued member of the Kingham Plough - a busy restaurant and hotel in the Cotswolds - I have developed and showcased strong people and communication skills, thriving in a high-pressure environment. Working closely with a diverse team has improved my collaborative abilities and coordination of responsibilities. I have also encountered and resolved various problems and challenges in the world of hospitality which has advanced my effective decision-making skills to ensure customer satisfaction.

    During two consecutive summer stints, I gained hands-on experience working with a diverse range of age groups, assisting with learning and leading various activities. I was able to adapt my communication and teaching methods to suit the unique needs and developmental stages of each child, as well as recognise the different learning abilities and needs among students. This honed my ability to connect with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. In this environment, I actively collaborated with classroom teachers, demonstrating strong communication and organisational skills.

    Philosophy Wider Outreach Programme (Autumn Terms 2022 & 2023)
    In my second year at university, I was selected to participate in the “Asks Big Questions’’ voluntary scheme, which partnered with primary schools to explore complex philosophical questions for young students. My strong application and previous experience led to my appointment as team leader. This role reinforced my skills in planning, effective communication, and ability to coordinate regular meetings with my team members and school staff. As a result, I had the opportunity to present our outreach programme to the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Nottingham University. This experience significantly enhanced my presentation skills and confidence. I was delighted to have been asked to participate in this scheme as a team leader for the second year running.

    IntoUniversity Volunteer (2022-2023)
    I volunteered for IntoUniversity, an organisation dedicated to helping individuals aged 10-17 from disadvantaged backgrounds gain access to higher education. I worked closely with my year ten tutee over the academic year, meeting weekly. This role improved my mentoring and coaching skills as I witnessed my tutees' impressive growth in academic and social confidence. Additionally, my experience with IntoUniversity culminated in a significant opportunity when I was chosen to present a speech at the celebration day, addressing fellow volunteers, tutees, parents, and staff. This enhanced my public speaking and presentation skills as I effectively communicated the transformative impact of the charity’s work to a wider audience.

    Head Girl, Headington Girls School, Oxford
    Serving as Head Girl at Headington School, I demonstrated strong leadership, teamwork and communication skills. This role required me to represent the school, lead initiatives, and foster a positive and inclusive school community. It was a testament to my commitment to education, personal growth, and serving as a role model for my peers.

    Drama Scholarship
    As a recipient of a drama scholarship, I had the opportunity to develop my passion and talent for the performing arts further. This scholarship provided me with valuable experiences and training in the world of theatre and drama, enhancing my skills in performance, creativity, and teamwork.

    I play a lot of card games with the children at my school back in England, including uno and dobble. I am a fan of monopoly too! Card games such as cheat and rummy are also a favourite!
