Saki is one of the best helpers! Super diligent, attentive, independent, and considerate. Always in a good mood, she hums her positive songs while tidying up, doing crafts, and out and about. It was a joy when she came "out of the wild", where she loved to climb on the trees – she enjoyed nature as much as we enjoyed her cheerful nature. Hi Camilla! Thank you so much for all your help. We are grateful for everything you have done and for all the positive energy you brought to our surf house. You were always cheerful, kind, and you took great care of our guests, making them feel welcome and comfortable. You also helped us keep the house super clean and organized. Sandrine was an amazing house guest and workawayer! She was always willing to check in to see what was needed, where she could contribute best, and was a delight to discuss and spend time with. We shared lots of travel/life stories and adventures, went on lovely walks together and shared many meals. She helped give a longer life to my house by painting all of the skirting. Her help and presence were welcomed and invaluable! I would recommend welcoming her to everyone!

My partner and I had a really enjoyable experience staying with Hubert for a week. Hubert is such a kind and generous man. We had our own apartment in his amazing big house which he built himself. He always made sure that we were well looked after and had everything we needed! The work was really fun, we spent 4 hours each morning doing tasks such as chopping wood with a machine, stacking wood, helping with his building projects and cutting ivy. He dropped us to the station a couple of times which was nice of him and let us have a day off for a day trip to Basel. The area we lived in is straight out of a fairytale, there are hikes all around, including the legendary path which he made. I would highly recommend this stay! Thank you Hubert 🙂

Tom is an excellent worker, eager to learn new things, always trying to do his best. A very kind and friendly person , a pleasure to have had him visiting!

Ayla stayed with us for 1 month and we would have love to host her for longer! She was extremely helpful in communicating with students and welcoming newcomers into the speaking club. Her lovely energy will light up the mood in any room she walks into. We had no issues about the rules or responsibilities. She is aware of the expectations and she does her best to meet them. We would love to host her anytime she wants to come back :)

Meeting and hosting Nour was such a great experience, first of all because we had never received Egyptians before, but especially because he is such a nice person. His energy and enthusiasm are contagious. My students, colleagues, and I enjoyed learning a lot about Egypt from him! He's very respectful and responsible. I highly recommend him for your projects!

This place made a great memory for me. I enjoyed giving water to donkey, cleaning up the camp, drawing pictures, sewing, and building stone staires cooperating with others :⁠-⁠) In free time, we can go to the beautiful blue beaches and a hill where we can see the great sunset. I went beach quite often and saw sunset a lot, but everytime, happy feeling fulfilled me. It was awsome. I also chilled in the hammock and on the trees in mountain. And sometimes, christian kindly arranges some small trips, such as to a beautiful snorkeling places! In addition, I'm sure that you can meet many nice people and animals in the camp. Spending time together would make bond strong :⁠-) I hope to see you them again.  Lastly, thank you Christian for this great opportunity and all things you provide us. Thank you Stronborino for the making us smile. Thank you for everyone I met in the camp. I'm looking forward to see developed near future.

Had such a wonderful time staying here! The host was kind, generous and welcoming from the moment I arrived, and really made me feel at home. The food was great too, with delicious local meals that catered to everyone's dietary needs - no one was ever left out. One of the highlights was the hiking in the Pyrénées. The host knows the area so well and was happy to share tips and recommendations, which made exploring the mountains even more special. I also loved getting a taste of the local culture, including the chance to go along to a local festival, which was a brilliant experience. The project itself is amazing and genuinely inspiring - the host has built an off-grid eco-house in the most beautiful location, and it was fascinating to see and be part of that. On top of all that, the other volunteers were lovely, and there were so many friendly animals around, including dogs, chickens and a cat, who all added to the warm, homely feel of the place. Would highly recommend staying here for everyone who loves the outdoors, communal living and doesn't expect a 5-star hotel- a brilliant experience all round!

I had the pleasure of being Electra's first workaway host 😊. She is a lovely young lady that shows interest and is open to new experiences. She was a great help to me both in the garden as well as some house hold chores. I can definitely recommend her and wish her a lot of fun and good luck with her future plans ✨️.

Jana and Christian were simply fantastic Workawayers! We gave them several challenging tasks and they not only completed them successfully, but also brought their own creative ideas and initiative to every project. The final results exceeded all our expectations and turned out far better than we had ever hoped for. Christian has outstanding practical and technical skills and seems capable of building, repairing, or improving just about anything. Whatever task came up, he approached it with confidence, independence, and great attention to detail. His positive attitude and easy-going nature made it a pleasure to have him here. Jana is one of the kindest and most wonderful people you could ever hope to meet. Together with Christian, she worked on our fence and awning, and she also did some painting with impressive precision and care. Her positive attitude and warm personality made every day a pleasure. One very special highlight was the baking course Jana gave me. We spent a wonderfully cozy time together, learned new skills, and enjoyed some absolutely delicious cakes. The work was excellent, but what made their stay truly special was the time we spent together. We enjoyed many interesting conversations, lots of laughter, and even some games in the evenings. The week passed far too quickly because we were having such a great time. The good news is that Jana and Christian are already planning to come back, and we couldn't be happier about it. We are genuinely looking forward to seeing them again. To our fellow hosts: if you are lucky enough to receive a request from Jana and Christian, don't hesitate for a second. You simply won't find better Workawayers. They are hardworking, skilled, creative, reliable, and wonderful company to have around. They arrived as strangers and left as friends. Along the way, they gave us an incredible amount of help and contributed so much more than we ever expected. Nous avons passé un excellent volontariat chez Erick à Ecolodge. L'endroit est très agréable, calme et entouré d'une nature magnifique. La région est superbe et offre de nombreuses possibilités de découvertes et d'activités. Les missions sont variées, ce qui permet de ne jamais s'ennuyer et d'apprendre différentes choses. Erick est également très arrangeant concernant l'organisation des jours de travail et reste à l'écoute des volontaires. Nous recommandons vivement ce volontariat à toute personne souhaitant découvrir la région tout en vivant une belle expérience humaine. Et pour les amoureux des animaux, il y a plusieurs chats et chiens adorables qui rendent le séjour encore plus agréable !

Yogendra, Anita, and their children welcomed us into their home with such warmth and kindness that we immediately felt like part of the family. The double room overlooking one of Bhaktapur’s streets is simply magical! The rooftop terrace is also beautiful, offering stunning views of the mountains and the rooftops of Bhaktapur. I highly recommend Bhaktapur over Kathmandu for anyone looking for a more intimate and peaceful experience, as well as a city with a truly beautiful historic center. Our volunteering experience was also very immersive. We spent most of our time at Dandapati Basic School in Changunarayan Municipality, and if they are accepting volunteers, I strongly recommend asking to volunteer there. You will find incredibly kind teachers who will welcome you with open arms, as well as the principal, Bisnu. The school gives you the opportunity to lead your own lessons independently, with the teachers helping when translation is needed. We brought several educational games from home, which we donated to the school, and each day we prepared and delivered lessons for the students. At the end of our stay, thanks to a fundraising effort and Yogendra’s guidance, we were also able to donate various useful materials to several educational facilities. I had a wonderful 15 days at Bud and Carol’s home. They are both incredibly kind and invited me to join them in all sorts of fun daily activities. The area is beautiful and there is so much to do. In terms of work, I did a variety of indoor and outdoor tasks and it was pretty fun! I felt completely at home there and was sad to leave them both (and the doggies). Highly recommend!

Spending three months here was one of the highlights of my travels. I arrived as a volunteer and left feeling like a friend. I learned a lot, met amazing people, and experienced a lifestyle that I will remember for a long time. The host created a welcoming atmosphere where everyone felt valued and respected. I am grateful for all the conversations, experiences, and opportunities to grow. Thank you for opening your home and sharing your project with me. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a genuine cultural exchange and a meaningful Workaway stay.

I was really pleased to have Doris staying with me, she was very keen to help and get all the jobs done! She helped with cleaning, washed the windows, weeded the garden and cooked a delicious dinner for me! I am happy to recommend her to the other hosts! Thank you Doris, enjoy your next adventure!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Monclar-de-Quercy with Paul and Yvonne! Days were well planned with plenty of breaks, good food and lots of lively conversation and humour around the dinner table. The room was beautiful and clean, and we had lots of our own privacy and down time. The animals were a great part of our experience - we enjoyed feeding them each morning as we walked the dogs. Overall an AWESOME experience, we hope to keep in touch in the future :)

The exchange with Martina was excellent and it was a pleasure to host her and show her around some parts of the island. Martina is a genuinely warm, caring and generous person. She showed strong organisational skills and excelled herself in cooking really tasty food, including some of her nonna's recipes, and was willing to help with a range of other tasks in and around the home. We had lots of fun playing various card and board games, many of which were traditional Italian games that Martina shared with us. In summary, you can regard Martina as a top-level human being and Workawayer!

I had a very nice experience at this amazing community. The place is very beautiful, with nice nature, and you feel a sense of peace there. I was lucky with the timing because I arrived just when the festival was starting, so I helped a bit with the preparations, and sometimes with cooking and gardening. The work was easy and felt very comfortable. The accommodation was comfortable and clean. I met so many interesting people. Jack and the others were very kind and easy to talk to about any topic, and they have an interesting project. We had the chance, with the other Workawayers, to visit another farm, have a nice sauna evening, a nice hike, yoga, movie time, and some games. I definitely recommend this place. Thanks again for this great experience, and see you again at the next festivals :D
