I had a wonderful stay with Anna in Lund! She was very kind and welcoming from the start, and she gave me lots of great recommendations for places to visit and things to see around the area. Thanks to her suggestions, I was able to explore and really enjoy Lund. Although Anna was away for much of my stay, communication was easy, and I helped out by doing some tidying and organizing around the house. She was very trusting and generous, and she even let me use her spare bike, which made it easy and enjoyable to get around town. Lund ended up being one of my favorite places to visit, and I'm very grateful to Anna for helping make my experience there so special. Thank you for your kindness, hospitality, and for sharing your home with me. I would happily recommend Anna as a Workaway host to future travelers!

This has been my first Workaway and it has been a truly amazing experience. I felt part of Markus and Helga’s family from the first second, feeling welcomed by their warmth, the insane location and truly the best food I have ever had. I would recommend this place to everyone looking for an opportunity to connect with amazing people, learn about sauna, gardening, constructing and taking care of the ocean and beach. The work mostly consisted of outdoor gardening and everything that comes with it, but we literally did whatever was needed. Work - Free Time Balance was wonderful and I felt that my work was both appreciated and my free time well respected. I stayed in a small hut for myself with a view on the fjord, which was wonderful and exceeded my expectations by far! I truly hope I get to come back one day, as this felt like a home from the beginning.

Tuvimos el placer de alojarnos con la familia de Miguel durante una semana. Nos recibieron con los brazos abiertos y nos ofrecieron comida deliciosa. Nuestra habitación era muy cómoda y tuvimos acceso a todo lo que necesitábamos durante nuestra estancia. El trabajo era muy variado e incluía actividades como pastorear ovejas, alimentar al ganado, recoger comida para los cuys y ayudar con el riego de los campos. En tan solo una semana, ambos sentimos que habíamos aprendido muchísimo, incluso como se baile a música tradicional! Muchas gracias a Miguel, Mamá Elena y Taita Simon por su hospitalidad!

Natalia is a truly wonderful and charming person with a deeply artistic soul! It was an absolute privilege to stay in her beautiful, historic house. I am incredibly grateful that she coolly accepted my last-minute message and welcomed me without hesitation. Even though my main task was cleaning, I was genuinely happy to contribute to maintaining and shaping this magnificent home. Natalia was incredibly attentive and always made sure I felt comfortable throughout my stay, allowing me to relax and feel completely at home. Thanks to her recommendation, I was able to experience the amazing ship festival in Ostend (Oostende Voor Anker) which was unforgettable. I had such a fantastic time from beginning to end. Elsia is an absolute joy to have as part of our family for a while. She went above and beyond to help us out in the weeks leading up to the day our new baby arrived and the days after and we are grateful for her presence in this time. Great sense of humour and a very decent table footballer...

I had a wonderful time with Sará and his cute "speaking" dog Nara. Sará is a very friendly, polite and helpful person. She refurbished my garden furniture with endless patience, they are looking like new now! Sará helped me also to maintain the house and we had lots of fun while playing SkipBo, Skyjo and Rummy cube. We had nice morning walks with our two dogs and the dogs also became good friends. I will miss her smile and humor! Sará was a wonderful workawayer. I t was a pleasure to host her and I wish her all the best!

No wonder this host has this many reviews! We spend two weeks here and wish we could’ve stayed at least 6 more weeks This place immediately felt like home and we’ve met so many other travellers and volunteers along the way The work hours are well balanced and clear. We also appreciated being able to work on the same days without even asking has been possible Keynoosh was always present and ready to help out Rajiv was great company and an interesting person to talk to about literally anything and everything Adam made sure we learn more about the locals Dobby is just the Queen she thinks she is Great experience and I cannot wait to be back and stay longer!

Thank you, Adam, Anna, and their son, for this wonderful experience! I was treated truly well and lovingly. The work and activities are explained precisely and calmly, and are very varied, so you never get bored. In my free time, I was able to enjoy the incredible nature around the farm, beautiful and relaxing places. You get to know Polish culture through Adam, who knows so much about the history of his people, and Anna through her incredible cuisine, which is excellent, especially the cheeses she makes! I recommend this experience to everyone and I sincerely thank these hosts. I wish you all the best.

Working on this language and cultural exchange project was a really nice and enriching experience. Lucía is a very friendly, welcoming, kind and helpful person. The apartment is clean, calm and comfortable. I was giving presentations about Egypt (my home country) in English and Spanish, in the different schools where Lucía teaches. It was my first time to work with school students and I really enjoyed it. The students were motivated, curious and willing to communicate and to know more about Egypt. I was very lucky to start my Workaway adventure with this project in the nice little town of Itá Ibaté :) Hope to see you soon Lucía, somewhere in the planet earth 🌎🌍🌏 Muchas gracias por todo 🙏🏽

Chloe stayed with us closed 5 days .are very nice person .like to enjoy the company with her she help us at jobs home ,and at gardens .spending time with my our children are very friendly person also I appreciate to help us about at family vineyard I am.very lucky to met her I suggest the other people's to met her Thank you alot xxx

We had a wonderful time with Colette in her beautiful house, originally built in 1546 and lovingly renovated by her. The house sits on top of a hill and has a lovely garden overlooking the wonderful lush French countryside. It truly is a hidden gem! During our stay, we were able to choose our daily tasks based on both our skills and the new things we wanted to learn. We helped with gardening, cleaning, and organizing, and also got the chance to try something new: pressure washing, sanding, and priming window shutters, which Fanny especially enjoyed! The work was flexible, and we had the freedom to organize our own schedule. We stayed in a nicely renovated spacious and peaceful studio. We cooked dinners together and enjoyed many lovely conversations around the table during lunches and evenings. Sharing meals on the patio and having our discussions “between earth and sky” were definitely among the highlights of our stay. Colette is a kind, caring, intelligent, creative, and inspiring person. She has so many interesting stories to share, and we truly enjoyed getting to know her. Thank you so much, Colette, for welcoming us into your home! This experience will always hold a special place in our hearts. We warmly recommend this Workaway to anyone interested in history, cooking, cultural exchange, and meaningful conversations.

This was my first Workaway experience, and it couldn’t have been better! I spent two wonderful weeks at Åse’s place. She picked me up from the Lyngdal bus station and immediately made me feel welcome in her home. Åse made sure I had plenty of opportunities to explore the area rather than spending all my time working. She took me along when she traveled to nearby towns for work, which allowed me to see more of the region. We also went on a boat trip around the island to see it from the sea, and we visited the local pub a few times to enjoy some delicious food. During my stay, I was able to take a three-day trip to Stavanger. Åse kindly drove me to the Lyngdal bus station and picked me up again when I returned. The work was not too difficult. Most of the tasks were outdoors, mainly weeding, some grass cutting and cleaning roof drains. On rainy days, I helped inside the house with general cleaning and window washing. Overall, I had a fantastic time. Åse is super friendly, kind and easy to talk to. I would definitely come back!

Jocelyn stayed with us for 2 weeks at the beginning of June.  Jocelyn was an awesome person to have here!  She was very willing to take on any job I asked of her, including the heavy work of cleaning out the winter's manure from chicken and goat sheds (three days straight), cleaning the kitchen, organizing pantries, washing windows, and mowing the lawn.  Most importantly she took on full responsibility for making supper each day for our whole family and Workawayers, so that I could focus on other things!  Her meals were creative and very tasty, complete with side dishes and vegetables.  I think she really enjoyed the challenge and did well with it.   I enjoyed talking with Jocelyn.  She grew up in China, but has lived in Canada for several years and worked in typical small-town Canadian jobs, so she has adapted to our language and culture very well.   As we got to know each other better, it was very interesting to be able to ask her anything about China, and I think she enjoyed learning more about our Western Canadian culture too.  She is very mature, practical and stable in her personality.  And she REALLY loved our dogs, which was great!  I highly recommend her.

Ines and Georgia volunteered with us in April this year, and it was a pleasure to host them. They are both very active, social and friendly, and contributed through reception work, organising activities for guests, and most importantly by being social hosts that made the guests feel welcome and a part of a family. They are both very kind, attentive and genuinely warm people who truly care about ensuring that everyone feels included and that everyone has positive memories to take back. Even though it was just a few weeks, they left a lasting impression and we would be delighted to host them again if the opportunity arises. If you are looking for volunteers who have a professional attitude, fun vibes, and a laid back charm, while still ensuring that the job gets done and knows how to have a great time while at it,, they come highly recommended.

Lillian was a joy to have in the house, great worker, motivated on his own engage with the community and the culture shared information, friendly kind a friend would be welcome back anytime I strongly recommend him to any future hosts with clear direction he thrives and his self motivated. We had a wonderful 2 weeks with Hiranya, Shreyas and Bolt. They were warm, compassionate, funny, interesting and very hard working. Not to mention the most amazing cooks. They cooked most evenings. Their tasks involved clearing and tidying shrubs and garden areas. Cleaning and organising in the house and driving out girls to work. They never shed away from any task and were always happy to help. They are both a true gift to any household and we were only sorry out time was to short. We hope our paths cross again. Bolt is a true gent of a dog. So gently and quiet. He always was well behaved and a pleasure to host. I highly recommend this little family, and look forward to the day we meet again.

It was very helpful to have Riki here. He learned everything necessary without problem and was very attentive getting everything done properly. It's already a while since he left so many details are forgotten but I have only good memories of activities, meals, garden work, sauna and ice dipping we did together.

Nous avons séjourné deux semaines chez Christian et ça a été notre meilleure expérience de volontariat ! L'endroit est magnifique, entouré de nature. Certaines tâches sont plutôt physiques mais sinon c'est surtout de la marche deux fois par jour. Les llamas et les veaux sont extrêmement adorables, tout comme les nombreux chien ( Bolivar dans notre cœur à jamais <3) et les chats. En temps qu'amoureuses de la nature et des animaux c'était le paradis pour nous. On as passé beaucoup de temps avec Christian et c'était génial, on as beaucoup discuté, rigolé, cuisiné et vadrouillé. Bref, on as vraiment passé un moment excellent et crée un vrai lien d'amitié. Nous avons également eu la chance de passer des moments avec sa famille, qui sont tous très gentils et accueillants que nous remercions du fond du cœur. Nous sommes extrêmement reconnaissantes pour les expérience que nous avons eu la chance de vivre, merci encore pour tout !!! --- Amos quedado con Christian durante dos semanas y fue nuestra mejor experiencia de voluntariado! El lugar es precioso, rodeado de naturaleza. Algunas tareas son bastante exigentes físicamente, pero en general se trata de caminar dos veces al día. Las llamas y los terneros son increíblemente adorables, al igual que los numerosos perros (¡Bolivar siempre estará en nuestros corazones! <3) y los gatos. Como amantes de la naturaleza y los animales, fue un paraíso para nosotros. Pasamos mucho tiempo con Christian y fue fantástico; charlamos, reímos, cocinamos y exploramos. En resumen, lo pasamos de maravilla y forjamos una verdadera amistad. También tuvimos la oportunidad de pasar tiempo con su familia, que es muy amable y acogedora, y les agradecemos de todo corazón. Estamos sumamente agradecidos por las experiencias que tuvimos la suerte de vivir. ¡Gracias de nuevo por todo!

Being a volunteer at Finca has been a wonderful experience. From day one, Galo and Gerlinde made me feel at home as did the rest of the locals who were working at the Finca. The finca itself is incredible. It has a wide variety of plant and animal species while it's biodiversity is maintained and improved by active forest management. I took part in this by weeding, forest shaping and tree planting, taught by Galo, who knows a lot about deforestation. After a day of hard work we always had an incredible lunch and it was super rewarding to take a nice refreshing swim in the lagoon after. I would definitely recommend this workaway ! :)

Staying and working with Hiroe and Jos was an absolute delight! The environment, work, and people are all so special, and it was a pleasure to be part of this small, dynamic community for the week. The area around the food forest is beautiful and quiet, full of nature and interesting shrines and stone buddhas. Arayashiki, where the WAW-ers stay, an amazing, renovated traditional home, is a serene place to spend time. I felt very lucky to be staying there! The work itself is very interesting and well-led by Jos. The ideology behind the food forest is fascinating, incorporating lots of interesting philosophies around food growing, creativity and community. The work was always manageable and enjoyable, encorporating problem solving and I learnt lots of new skills! Last but definitely not least, Hiroe and Jos' generosity and openness, as well as their energy and passion for the project, are inspiring. Hiroe's cooking is unparalleled and some of the best I have tried in Japan! I greatly appreciate the meals and coffee breaks spent together, chatting and laughing. I left feeling much more knowledgeable and energised! Thank you again, Hiroe and Jos! Would greatly recommend to other WAW-ers.
