Our possible hosting periods for Spring 2024:
    April 1 - April 21
    May 9 - May 29

We are a family of three: my fiancé, Jonas (31), and our son Klement (born February 2023), and myself (33), living in an amazing, historical home in the hills of Mols, Denmark.
Our halftimbered, thatched roof house as well as our beautiful, large garden requires a good bit of maintenance and upkeep, which would be great to have an extra set of hands for.
We are also about to start renovation of the house next door, so we have many exiciting, small and big projects going on keeping us busy in our everyday life.
Our home is situated in Femmøller Strand, which is the first fully planned holiday town in Denmark, planned by architect Egil Fischer. Our home was the house Fischer built for himself and his wife, and includes many architectural and historical features such as built in tiles and furniture from a Spanish castle from the 14th century.
We are a family who likes to spend time outdoors and sometimes go camping in our car. We are open to adventures ourselves and would enjoy welcoming adventurous and enthusiastic work-awayers in our home. Jonas works from home and I have just started working full time February 1st after one year maternity leave.

Our house offers unique cultural heritage and the area has many great nature experiences (hiking trails). Mols is known for some of Denmark’s most beautiful nature and the nearby town, Ebeltoft, is one of the historical trade towns of Denmark.
We can introduce you to life as a young family on the countryside of Denmark and show you everything our area has to offer.

We have a big garden and therefore most of our projects are in the garden. It can be small or big projects like weeding, cutting hedges, trimming the lawn, clearing areas, planting, cleaning decks, etc.
We also might have projects involving painting indoor or outdoor, renovation in or out such as break down, clean up, etc.
We expect you to volunteer for 4-5 hours a day, 5 days a week. Preferably on the week days Monday-Friday, so we can have the weekends to relax and you can go explore and experience the areas around us.

    Alojamiento

20 m2 room with two queen size beds, private entrance and bathroom. The room is split in two by a closet so there is privacy for sleeping, getting dressed etc. We can host two workawayers or maximum four (if willing to share bed - so couples or close friends traveling together).
The kitchen is shared with us.
We will cook/eat together whenever it makes sense in our daily schedules (which is most days). We eat preferably local and organic, but we are far from fanatic. We eat both meat and vegetarian dishes and can teach you to cook traditional Danish food if you are interested, but we also love to try things from around the world.
We will consider work-awayers as much as possible as a part of our household, so we expect that you help out with all the daily chores like cooking our shared meals or cleaning up after them, cleaning your own living area etc. as part of your own "free time".
We typically eat three meals a day at 7.30 AM, 12/1PM and 5.30/6PM and sometimes an afternoon snack somewhere in between. Sometimes we eat together, and sometimes we just grab something when it is possible. You are welcome to be a part of our meals when you are around.

Nearby are many great hiking trails, the ocean (10 mins walk) and the picturesque, historical town of Ebeltoft famous for “Fregatten”, a cool maritime museum inside an old war fregat, and glass art.

Aarhus, Denmark’s 2nd largest city is a 50 minute bus ride away, and the bus leaves just outside our door step giving you great options to explore city life as well.

We expect respectful and open communication. We expect you to act responsibly when it comes to taking care of our historical home but also when working with tools and machinery as to avoid any injuries. Please make sure to have adequate health insurance.
We do not accept smoking indoors and prefer non-smokers.
