Descripción
We are Ben and Rachelle, and we love the beaches of Vancouver, the adventure of the mountains, and exploring all the amazing spots around the city. We have four little girls — Ivy (5), Ruby (4), Goldie (3), and Louie (1) — and life in our home is full, fun, and active!
As a family, we love being outdoors and trying new things around Vancouver. Most weekends are spent at the beach, hiking in the mountains, biking the Seawall, visiting Granville Island, exploring local coffee shops, or spending time with friends and family. We also love visiting places like Stanley Park, Lynn Canyon, Grouse Mountain, and the many beautiful beaches around the city. We really value community, adventure, and creating meaningful experiences together.
We are also well-travelled and love learning about different cultures, people, and experiences from around the world. One of our favourite things is food, and we love trying and cooking dishes from all different cultures and cuisines. We would be excited to learn about your culture and share ours with you as well!
Ben and I both work full time, and we are looking for someone kind, energetic, and caring to help support our family several hours a day, 3 times a week. The three oldest girls are in preschool or grade school and only need care for a couple of hours in the afternoon. Our youngest, Louie, is at home during the day and would need the most support and care.
For accommodation, we have a cozy basement suite set up downstairs with a bedroom, a small lounge area, and a hot plate for meals you’d like to prepare on your own. The bathroom is shared with our family.
We would love to welcome someone into our home who enjoys children, family life, and exploring beautiful Vancouver. We can’t wait to meet you!

We are an active couple who love working out and running! We live right by the beach. We love exploring and hiking, going on adventures. We attend a church in the city and love getting to know new people. We have lots of experience with people from different cultures. Rachelle has lived in Cambodia for 5 years and Ben has spent extended time in Latin America!

Ben and I both work full time, and we are looking for someone kind, energetic, and caring to help support our family several hours a day, 3 times a week. We would also appreciate some help with light household tasks such as cooking and cleaning to help keep our busy home running smoothly. We want to ensure that we are fully complying with Workaway hour expectations and are not expecting extra unpaid hours beyond what is required.

We have a basement suite in our house
Food is an important part of our family life, and we love gathering around the table together whenever we can. During the week, we typically eat together as a family for dinner each night and usually one additional meal together during the day when schedules allow. On weekends, we often share all three meals together as a family.
We will provide 3 meals a day for you during your stay with us. Because Ben and I both work full time, breakfast and lunch during the week may not always be shared meals together, but when you are caring for the girls, you are always welcome to eat with them and enjoy meals as part of the family.
We love food from all around the world and enjoy trying different cuisines and recipes. We will make sure there is plenty of food available in the fridge and pantry, and we are happy to purchase foods and snacks that you personally enjoy as well.
We also understand and respect the need for personal space and quiet time. Your downstairs suite includes a fridge and hot plate, so if you would prefer to prepare or enjoy meals privately and quietly sometimes, you are absolutely welcome to do that. We are happy to provide food for you to enjoy both independently and together with our family.

There is lots to do in Vancouver. You can go up to Whistler and ski and snowboard! You can travel to the mountains in North Vancouver. You can go swimming in the ocean of English bay and build sand castles in Spanish Banks!
