Hello,
we are some openhearted people living in the beautiful mountains of switzerland. (3 childrean from 11 to 16 years and 2 adults). Our Farm is in a southern, small village at 1300m. We are living with one dog, a few chickens, two cows, four yaks and nearly 100 goats. As usual for farming, our work depends a lot at the season. It makes a diffrent, either the animals are outside or inside, give milk or not, everywhere snow or not...
For some kind of work (specially helping with the farm) we need to explain a lot, and for that reason we appreciate people who will stay at least 3 weeks.
❗️Before you write us please check our calendar for free places. We only process requests that arrive a maximum of three months before arrival. In addition, we only acommondate volunteers who are 18 years of age or older. We do not make viedeocalls!

You can enjoy the beautiful nature around, learn german from us and grow with your responsibilities or workings. There is the famous "Magic Wood", a boulder place really close to us. As we have some instruments you can play music and meet us and our friends.

We are happy about every kind of help. Main topics are farming, household and gardening.
As everybody is diffrent we have to talk in detail what will be your job. There is a lot of work and a lot of diffrent ways how to do. You can get small or big jobs where you get the responsibility or help us with a project. You can get daily routined jobs or one-time ones.
Farm depends at the season. It can be making wood, cleaning the meadows, make hay, put up fences, to herd animals, to milk, repairing building...
Household will be cooking, cleaning, organising..
Because we belive that people are doing the best if they enjoy, you can choose and we talk toghether about what you are doing in detail. It can be caring animals, building/repairing something for the farm,
Everybody is doing what he/she likes to do, because then she/he is doing it the best.

Alojamiento
You would get an own room in our house. Bathrooms, livingroom and kitchen we share all together. We have regular mealtimes like breakfast, lunch and dinner where you are welcome to join. But aswell you can eat as much as you need whenever you want. We produce food ourselves ( meat, dairy products, eggs, vegetables) and try to be selfcatering as best we can. We try to get what we buy locally. Please accept that we do not want to buy food supplement from third parties. Vegetarians are acceptet.
As we live with children it is loud and full of action sometimes. Also the house is quite chaotic sometimes. You will have free WiFi.
