I am a gap-year student looking to expand my knowledge about organic farming, sustainable living, permaculture, eco-building and all the other amazing things about our planet I am not aware of. My main motivation for doing volunteer work through Workaway is to learn about these subjects with real-time practice and people. Living in Norway, is as you would imagine; very stable, safe and comforting, everything is handed to me with a silver spoon, I appreciate that. However, I think it's very important for the youth of my generation to see how the rest of the world lives, as well. I envision the future going towards more alternative ways of living if we are going to help rebuild our planet form the destruction we have caused. The experiences and the knowledge I will gain from the people and cultures I will meet are going to benefit me for the path I will choose at the end of my gap-year.

I have a lot of experience with gardening because my mother has involved me in her work at a very early age. When it comes to large-scale farming, I don't have any practical experience. However, my grandfather and mother were very enthusiastic organic farmers and I have learned a lot from them, and also through own research and reading.
In high school, I had side studies of architecture, design, and art for three years and that´s how I gained interest in sustainable building, permaculture, and renewable energy. I would say that I have a good understanding of the main principles of architecture, design, and art, and will be able to help with any project regarding these subjects as well.
I also have a part-time job at a restaurant and I am a vegan, so I can say that I am a very good cook, take personal and common hygiene very seriously and also very solution-oriented.
Finally, what I consider my best skill is my willingness to learn and improve at any task given to me. This is exactly why I want to help anyone who is giving back to the planet by living a conscious and responsible life.
I speak: English, Norwegian and Albanian fluently. I understand Turkish and any slavic language.
I am very passionate about understanding other cultures and very respectful to ideals different from mine. I want to be exposed to lifestyles which would be considered "unconventional" in my culture, and learn from them. I am also very open to learning new languages, especially Spanish, which I have started to learn moderately.
