Hello, my name is Martynas. I'm 26 years old, and I'm from Lithuania. I grew up on a small family farm where we practise permaculture and eco farming. I have experience in looking after some different animals like dogs, cats, chickens, turkeys, goats, pigs, and rabbits. The love of nature and being outdoors led me to the study of forestry. After finishing college, I did a gap year and had an amazing 6-month workaway experience with 9 different hosts in 4 countries. When I stopped traveling, I started to work as a forester in Lithuanian state forest service and did it for two years. But the eager to travel called me again, so I quit my job, and now I'm looking forward to apply my knowledge and skills in many different areas such as forestry permaculture, building, wood crafts, eco farming, brewing, beekeeping and gardening. Also, I love travelling and exploring different cultures, learning languages, and acquiring new skills. I’m eager to share my own experience, energy and skills with anyone who needs some extra pair of hands.

For the past two years I worked as a forester for Lithuanian state forest service where I had to measure forest land, update forest map, measure trees, divide forest plots by type of soil, type of trees and age of trees. In my teenage years, gardening jobs were in my daily routine. I occasionally worked in a plant nursery as a daily worker, where I learn many things about plants from an experienced gardener. I took a gap year after finishing my secondary school and spent 9 months in Scotland where I worked in a hotel as a housekeeper, waiter and did small maintenance jobs too. I also did gardening for some private clients there. My mum runs a busy art gallery/ jewellery shop in the city centre where I frequently worked as a shop assistant, carry out some cleaning duties and do occasional maintenance jobs. I have good working skills with power tools such as drills, power saws and chain saws. And of course 6 months of workaway experience gave me many different types o knowledge such as working in a forest with horse, taking care of horse, whine making, work in a mill, construction and many more...

He really likes helping. He did his exercises always perfect, is able to work alone. He's intelligent and he always tried to find the best way to make the exercises, I gave him.
