  • Description

Hi there! I am a second year student at Cornell University studying agriculture sciences. I love learning about regenerative agriculture and sustainable food systems.

My passion for food and agriculture led me to my high school job at a local butcher shop, where I learned extremely valuable skills that I still use everyday. I have that shop to thank for my strong work ethic, and a deep care for doing a quality job on anything I do.

Outside of ag, I love to make music. I play saxophone and I love to play jazz music, and I also love to play the guitar. I'm also on the Cornell rugby team which takes up a lot of my time outside of class. When I'm home I spend all of my time with my family and close friends, especially hanging out with my two little sisters who I miss dearly during my travels.

  • More details about your skills

    - I worked for 4 years at a mom and pop butcher shop in my neighborhood which taught me a multitude of skills. From basic craftsmanship when I was forced to make contraptions or fix machines, to customer service, cooking, cleaning, meat cutting, handling dangerous tools, etc. It just taught me to be a fast learner and work hard.

    - Experience raising assortment of crops (tomatoes, cucumbers, beets, lettuce, peas, corn, etc.) I also raised quail for eggs.

    - I am a good teacher and have tutored family and friends. I can teach pretty much any subject to young kids, including English.

    - I speak Russian, and intermediate Hebrew. I am a fast learner with languages.

    - I created an entire business plan and sold pilot product for a butcher shop. This included a soft launch with a partner to actually open my own shop. I have an entrepreneurial spirit and have taken many business and economics courses.

    - I am physically fit and hardworking, I can and am willing to do just about anything thats asked of me. I take pride in being a reliable worker.
