Description
Hi all,
We are best friends from Australia currently travelling around Europe named Mia (24) and Ivy (25). Together we love to explore, play cards, cook, make new friends, swim, hike, watch movies and laugh!
In Australia, Mia managed a permaculture plant nursery and spent many hours labouring on a flower farm. She has been in the permaculture/ horticulture industry since 2020 and holds a qualification in both. Edible/productive plants are something that excites her! Nothing feels better than growing your own. Coming to Europe has made Mia really excited to learn more about different cultures farming techniques and gardening practices. Along with learning how to cook new foods! When Mia is not out in the garden she really enjoys knitting, crocheting, hiking and reading or writing.
Ivy is a full time third year psychology student. She recently completed a semester abroad in the Netherlands and is now travelling for the European summer before she returns to Australia. Since graduating highschool ivy has travelled, worked as a nanny with young children, a waitress, cleaner, kitchen hand, and receptionist. When she is not studying she loves to cook, hike, garden, read and listen to music and podcasts. She looks forward to being in a new culture and learning about a different way of life and sharing cultural differences about Australia!
We are very excited to complete a work away as we love learning about other cultures, learning new skills, and meeting new people. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us!
We look forward to hearing from you!

Over the past few years Mia has studied both permaculture and horticulture, receiving qualifications in both. Since then, Shes worked on market gardens as a labourer, as a plant nursery assistant and manager and worked in organic fruit and veggie stores. During each of these positions her love of organic home grown food has flourished!
During her time as a market gardener her responsibilities involved harvesting veggies and flowers then preparing them for sale, propagation, planting beds, preparing beds for planting, managing volunteers who helped on the farm, creating veggie boxes for our customers and some small scale irrigation tasks.
In the plant nursery manager position her role was more focused on the management of staff, volunteers, propagation, stock ordering and sales. In both of these positions my knowledge of plants, their growing conditions and propagation types and medium has grown. Along with knowledge on how to use certain machinery and tools.
Ivy has experience in admin, nannying, cooking, gardening.Age
