Description

Hi there! We are Nick and Kayleigh.

We are a family of 5, with 3 young boys aged between 2 and 7 years old. We are a nomadic family and love to travel and learn about new cultures and people, as well as finding any opportunity to make new friends around the world. We teach our children children about the world in all its forms and glory, and live an alternative lifestyle by using Workaway and and the likes to accomplish new adventures and experiences.

We thrive on getting stuck into projects and giving it our all! We have transferable skills, are hugely adaptable and are open-minded to new projects we may not have encountered before. We are fast learners, energetic and proper workers - hard work never hurt anyone!

We are happy to share tales of travel, advice or experiences we have had throughout the 40 countries we have visited so far. Sitting around a fire or a nice sunset and relaxing after feeling alive through work or travel and exploration is second to none!

We are definitely a multi skilled family, with experience ranging from animal work, organising, mechanic work, carpentry, electrician work, building, painting, use of computers, teaching English, aupairing, artistry and are extremely adaptable in all situations we have faced so far. We have a very high standard too and take pride in all our work no matter what it is.

More details about my language interests
We would love to learn more languages and teach our children to be bilingual. We love being in any country and speaking either the countries language or meeting other travellers and conversing even basic terms. Kayleigh completed a TEFL course a few years ago and has taught people both in person and online, both adults and children.

We've travelled around most of Europe in our car including our longest stint of 6 months including 22 countries. We did this with the 3 children and loved every second of meeting new people and new friends for our children. We are very grateful for the opportunities we had whilst travelling and try our very best to fit in with the culture and language of every country we encounter.

Kayleigh has Au Pair experience in Italy and has had previous jobs of teaching Chinese students English, as well as being a keen Archaeologist and history nerd. Also having had roles such as a Doctor's Practice General Manager, Hospital Spinal Secretary and Bar and Cafe work. So she has a range of skills and expertise in multiple fields - editorial experience - social media experience.

Charlie has attended a few world schooling hubs and we would love to carry this on around the world and socialise all of the children with others their own age.

Nick has previous factory worker experience in paint spraying and robot technical skills; this leads him in the direction of perfection via problem solving and analytical skills. He has boating and mechanical skills as well as animal management skills. Nick's previous experience also includes handyman and general building skills (all aspects). He enjoys the outdoors including hiking, bushcraft, survival and managing groups.
