Hey,
I’m Vinny and I am 23 years old. I am from a small german town right by the north sea where I have lived most of my life but I knew from a very young age that I wanted to see more than this. My father grew up living in different counties but he spent most of his youth living in the US, while my mom spend a year abroad after she graduated. I grew up with their stories so it wasn’t surprising that I also wanted to go abroad after graduation. I spent six months living in Ireland and had an incredible time there. I met some amazing people there that I still keep in contact with and afterwards I knew that I was hooked. I spent the last few years back in my hometown and just completed my apprenticeship to become a goldsmith earlier this year. Currently I work in a small cafe and will continue on for the rest of the summer season. Afterwards I want to start traveling. My main goal is to collect as much experience in as many different fields as possible. I am interested in everything from carpentry, hospitality, animal care to artistic endeavors. I want to meet new people, learn new skills and spent time in places I haven’t seen before.

I am trained as a goldsmith so I am good at working precisely and have good hand-eye coordination. I am good at working with my hands and although I am used to building and fixing things at a small scale I am sure that with a little modification most of those skills can be applied to a larger scale as well. Besides that I have worked in a bakery before and am currently working in a cafe which gives me a bit of experience in the gastronomy sector.
When I was younger I did horse riding but unfortunately it has been a few years since I last sat on a horse but I still know my way around a stable. When I was still a student I worked weekends on a farm milking cows.
I grew up with younger siblings one of which is significantly younger than me and spent a few weeks working in a primary school a few years back- so I am used to having kids around.
Language wise I speak german as my mother tongue and am fluent in english.
I am currently trying to learn french and am also interested in learning Italian.
