Description
Hello!
I am a determined individual with many interests! I usually view myself as a dabbler in many and a master at none because I have so many hobbies and love to learn all sorts of new things. I'm not one to wait for motivation arises to do something and usually like to take steps proactively to get where I need to go.
Generally seeing other people thrive and interacting with genuine people makes me so happy to see. I love community and being apart of collaborative spaces and truly believe it's what makes us humans thrive most. I am quite a social person but also value my downtime to read, write and cook. I love to include movement (yoga, running, walking, biking) daily in my life and am a huge believer in self care.
The last few years I have been a student in school but have worked as a health consultant, barista and tree planter. Tree planting presented me with the most physical challenge I have ever experienced but plan on doing a second season because theres something so unique about the lifestyle it provides (and living outdoors which is cool!)
International solo travelling is newer to me, but I am not unfamiliar with living in remote areas, and rough conditions. My travel experiences often include camping and traveling/sleeping out of my car to be minimal. Currently I live on the coast of BC and have been pondering with the idea of sailboat living in my future since that is a big thing around here. I also romanticize off-grid living and explore the topic of self-sufficiency often when it comes to repair, building and food preservation. I am an herbalist and nutritionist so gardening, cooking and food preservation are my niches currently.
I love to explore new places but also love having purpose and so I see workway being the best of both worlds for me where I can visit places I've never been, immerse myself in different cultures, and also wake up knowing I have tasks to complete to support my host.I am a big fan of remote places, self-sufficiency and DIY projects. Growing up I was mirrored the values of hard work and family through my two parents who grew up on farms in the Canadian Prairies so I am open to learning new skills and usually address challenges that arise with resilience.Interests
