Description
My mission is to live a mindful life and contribute some value through volunteering. It's all about sharing knowledge and helping one another.
From July 2022 to November 2023, I lived happily in the exciting cities of Tokyo and Osaka. Since leaving, I've visited Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and California. I spent time with friends volunteering in Sri Lanka before travelling to India for a Vipassana meditation course. From India, I travelled to Morocco and Spain before returning to the UK at the end of January 2025.
In August 2025, I began my South American adventure by flying from Portugal to Medellín, Colombia. From there, I flew to Peru and stayed for two months. I'm now in Chile and looking forward to exploring extraordinary landscapes and diversity. My favourite thing is to travel, explore and experience as much of this world as possible.
I've also volunteered at Buddhist centres around the world. I've lived overseas in New York, Israel, Nepal, and, as a child, Australia. Before travelling to Japan, I journeyed through the Catalan region for three fantastic months. During all my travels, I've met some wonderful people and been inspired by their fearless choices. I'm interested in ancient history and philosophy, and I enjoy writing short stories, usually with steampunk/futuristic themes.

I worked in the UK social sector for 16 years; it was challenging, eventful, and totally worth it. I have volunteered on a Kibbutz in the Negev desert, in Buddhist communities in Scotland, England, the USA, and Malaysia, and taught English at a charity school in Nepal. I have basic counselling qualifications and experience in mentoring. Since graduating in 2019, I have taught English online in the UK and in person in Japan and Sri Lanka.
