Hello! I’m Tetyana, originally from Ukraine, and a lifelong explorer at heart.
I left home at 15 to travel to the US as an exchange student, and that early journey sparked in me a deep love for travel, meeting people from all walks of life, and embracing different cultures with an open heart and mind.
I've spent most of my professional life working as a researcher with international NGOs. While it’s meaningful work, sometime it can also feel impersonal and detached from the reality of the people whom we were trying to help. As I found myself spending most of my days at the computer, I realized it just doesn't feel right.
So I’m looking for a new challenge and adventure -- to clear my mind, learn something new and to give back what I can. I want to experience new cultures and different ways of living. I would love to teach English to kids or young adults, practice yoga (I am a certified instructor but very much a beginner!) and to share with others what I know and love about ultimate frisbee. I also enjoy gardening and working with my hands and would be happy to contribute to a gardening project.
I don’t know exactly where this path will lead, but I hope to gain new skills and meet more like-minded people. The connections we make are precious—perhaps the most important thing we have.Interests

As a student, I used to work at the Writing Center at the university in the US, helping ESL students learn and also helping native English speakers with their writing and English homework. I also gave some private lessons to family friends in the past. I would like to come back to teaching and maybe try teaching children or young adults. I'm particularly interested in integrating some fun, play and movement into my classes and want to inspire my students to stive for more and to achieve whatever they dream of.Skills and knowledge I'd like to share or learn

More details about your skills
- English Teacher: I used to work at the Writing Center at the US university, helping ESL students learn English and also helping native English speakers with their writing. I also gave some private lessons to family friends in the past. I would like to come back to teaching and maybe try teaching children or young adults. I'm particularly interested in integrating some fun, play and movement into teaching and inspire students to stive for more and to achieve whatever they want.
- Certified Yoga Teacher: As a certified yoga teacher (though fairly new to teaching), I can guide others in yoga sessions. Yoga is a great way to reduce stress, improve overall well-being, and enhance the connection between mind and body—skills I’m excited to share with others, and I’m happy to teach group or individual sessions.
- Ultimate Frisbee: I've been playing most of my adult life in the US and other countries and I would like to share this wonderful game with others. I have never been a coach but I would like to try. Frisbee is not just about chasing plastic disks (well, kind of is, but only on the surface) -- it's a great way to connect with people, let go of ego and be more carefree. I can't recommend it enough...
- Gardening: I have a strong personal interest in protecting the environment and minimizing our negative impact on it. I’ve been helping in my family's garden (dacha) since I was little—although back then I was less enthusiastic! More recently, I’ve enjoyed learning about permaculture approach in a small German village and excited to expand this knowledge in a hands-on farm environment.
- Research & Problem Solving: As a researcher working with NGOs, I have pretty strong analytical and problem-solving skills. I can think critically, adapt to different situations, and help with planning, organizing, analyzing data, or approaching problems creatively.Age
