はじめまして、テイル/ Till です。
I'm 24 years old and from Dortmund (Germany). After completing my university degree in Spatial Planning, I am now fulfilling a wish and traveling to Japan. What fascinates me most about Japan are the strong contrasts - between city and countryside, hustle and calm, sensory overload and a deep connection to nature. During my journey I want to experience and understand how these contrasts coexist and shape the Japanese lifestyle.
I am looking forward to many impressions, experiences and inspiring conversations. I hope to capture them through photos, my own sketches and most importantly lifetime memories. Travelling and getting to know new places and people has always been something I enjoy. I would like to use 2026 to explore, connect and learn more about Japan, others and myself :)

🌱 Eco Projects and DIY
I grew up in a neighbourhood where working on hands-on projects around the house and garden were common. That's why I really enjoy spending time outside, with plants and doing manual tasks.
🍳 Cooking and baking
I like to experimenting and learning new (Japanese) recipes. Besides, I currently work in a café as a waiter and kitchen assistant. The work is very diverse and I learned much about custumer service and helping with events.
✍️ Creativity
For about a year I have been sketching regularly while traveling to capture the places and moods. I'm always happy to share these experiences and moments with others.
🏃 Sports
I am interested in soccer, running, hiking and cycling but I am also open to new things. For six years I volunteered as a soccer coach and gave young goalkeepers training.

Once, a friend gave me a book about Japanese philosophies and everyday concepts which inspired me deeply. From calligraphy to tea ceremonies, during my journey I would like to explore tradtional routines and find my own understanding of concepts like wabi-sabi and ikigai.
