Description
Hello there! My name is Thomas, and I'm excited to get back on the road this winter. Born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, I discovered my passion for travel during a gap year after high school six years ago, and I've been exploring on and off ever since. Along the way, I've had the pleasure of working in hostels and connecting with people from all walks of life, which has also given me plenty of experience working with kids.

I've always loved meeting new people and sharing stories, which naturally led me to develop an interest in teaching English. To pursue this passion, I completed a 120-hour TEFL course and earned my certificate, preparing me to support and engage learners of all ages. In my previous workaways, I had the time of my life and cherished every moment, and I'm eager to create even more amazing connections on my outing!

In my previous workaways, I learned a many interesting skills while doing things like painting, cement work, assisting with building, taking care of kids and a few other odd jobs. I'm always up for almost any kind of work and I love learning how to do new things.

I recently graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor's degree, where I also received a 120 hour TEFL certificate (teaching English as a foreign language) which gave me experience teaching English!
During the school year I work as an after school counselor, so I love working with kids and have a lot of experience doing so!

I can work with kids, teach English, clean, help tourists, any kind of physical work, provide animal/pet care, give basic help with computers/social media, or anything really if you show me how to do it! I think my most valuable skill is my relaxed but enthusiastic temperament and my flexibility.

Tom was a great addition to our team here at B+B. He was a team player that worked hard and brought a positive attitude. Tom had several jobs while here to make some extra cash and he didn't let that affect how well he did here. Fiona is an extremely welcoming and charming woman! I stayed with Fiona for 3 weeks in early Winter, and she helped me with so much! She feels like family to me now. The country is beautiful and there are many adorable pets including a very smart dog named Snoop! This was such a good experience, and I hope I see you again one day Fiona! :)

Thomas stayed with us for a few weeks in the Autumn of 2018. My children adored him, he was great fun and seemed to love to play outside with my 13 and 11 year old.
