Hello there! My name is Thomas, and I'm hoping to find a workaway this summer. I was born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida and discovered a passion for traveling when I took a gap year after highschool 5 years ago. I love rock climbing, sports, playing guitar and meeting new peeps! Recently I have also become interested in teaching English, so I took a TEFL course and received a certificate. In my previous workaways I had the time of my life and loved every second, so I'm hoping to meet more amazing people this summer! Also, I will be traveling with my best friend Blaze who I have known since childhood so If you are in urgent need for two goofy Americans, please do not hesitate to message us!!

In my previous workaways, I learned a many interesting skills while doing things like painting, cement work, assisting with building, taking care of kids and a few other odd jobs. I'm always up for almost any kind of work and I love learning how to do new things.

I recently graduated from Florida State University with a bachelor's degree, where I also received a 120 hour TEFL certificate (teaching English as a foreign language) which gave me experience teaching English!
During the school year I work as an after school counselor, so I love working with kids and have a lot of experience doing so!

I can work with kids, teach English, clean, help tourists, any kind of physical work, provide animal/pet care, give basic help with computers/social media, or anything really if you show me how to do it! I think my most valuable skill is my attitude towards learning how to do new things :)

I will be traveling with my best friend Blaze who I have known since we were 9! We are very similar and have had a great time doing workaways previously! We are goofy but we are hard workers and we always find a way to laugh.

Fiona is an extremely welcoming and charming woman! I stayed with Fiona for 3 weeks in early Winter, and she helped me with so much! She feels like family to me now. The country is beautiful and there are many adorable pets including a very smart dog named Snoop! This was such a good experience, and I hope I see you again one day Fiona! :)

Thomas stayed with us for a few weeks in the Autumn of 2018. My children adored him, he was great fun and seemed to love to play outside with my 13 and 11 year old.
