Until 4 years ago, I had been working for a leading bank at marketing department in Turkey for 11 years both on the field and in the office so I had time to professionalise about how to practice teamwork.
I was planning to start my own agro-touristic enterprise here in Turkey in the following years so I quit my job to see how it is accomplished. In my previous workaway experiences I mostly focused on organic farming opportunities to try myself and each were unique.
After some time i decided to settle down a bit and started to have massage classes. I finished Deep Connective Tissue Massage and Trigger Point Therapy courses and had my internationally recognized certificate from the most acclaimed massage master in Turkey. I also know some Chi Nei Tsang (Chinese Visceral) Massage and Shiatsu. Last two years passed as an intensive body therapy practice for me.
My latest volunteering experience was in Krushevo, Macedonia for massaging at a paragliding spot. It was a great experience.
Now i am headed abroad again to volunteer for about a year.
The concept of body treatments is trying to eliminate the lack of efficiency and provide the harmony of the body. In other words; to boost the performance and/or releasing the trauma. And there are many approaches to achieve this aim. I practice; Shiatsu, Chi Nei Tsang Massage, Deep Connective Tissue Massage(DCTM) and Trigger Point Therapy(TPT). Shiatsu is like those daily practices to keep the body in harmony. Chi Nei Tsang offers applications for the visceral system (inner organs) and also detoxification of the stomach. DCTM is to penetrate to the muscles and remove the blockades in the body. TPT is applied to release the specific tensions occurred acutely or chronically in the muscles both because of physical and psychological traumas. I also try to help people with body awareness which includes anatomic approaches about daily and sportive routines.
I have been learning and practicing body treatments for the last two years and last year I was assisting the main courses I had in the beginning -deep connective tissue massage and trigger point therapy. I worked as a professional for 5 months at a massage center, since then i am working for myself. Besides certificates from courses i have attended, i have legal certification to practice massage in Turkey.
As i can speak English fluently, i have had many experiences with people from all around the world, both in Turkey and Macedonia. I can also teach massage sets about the whole body or specific areas. I can arrange daily workshops about body awareness, perception of trauma and practical massage sets, in English. These workshops may be for the staff, customers, couples, guests, friends or social responsibility projects etc.
My principle is to eat and live as my host does so I can have the unique experience from each local. I am not a vegan/vegeterian but i love vegetables and fruit so no problem for me if the host is either.
I can communicate in English fluently and I am a beginner in Italian, German, French and Russian. I studied Italian in Italy, French in Morocco, and Russian in Odessa, Ukraine. I am not total stranger for these languages but I need practice for daily communication. Learning a language from the locals or at the periphery of the language is a nice daily routine for me in my journeys. It is incredible to discover what you can learn in 15 days.
As I have no religion and don’t care about nationalistic issues; traveling and and meeting new people is an easy, improving, inspirational experience for me.
In my previous experiences -besides the work itself- being in a sincere ambiance was the main experience I can tell stories about to my friends back in my hometown and from everywhere I had been, I had nice memories.
Hope to see you
