Description
Hi! My name is Martha and I'm currently a master degree students in Hsinchu, Taiwan. Volunteering is something I’ve always been drawn to, but in my previous job, long extra hours hours and having to work even on weekends, left me little time to explore this interest of mine. I’ve only had the chance to volunteer briefly—once at a retirement home and once at a disability organization—but those moments really struck my core.
Now that I’m a student again, I want to use my vacation time to do something meaningful, to contribute and connect with new people and experience something new. I’m a friendly and responsible person, a good listener, and someone who genuinely enjoys helping out. I’m also quick to learn and pay attention to details, so I’m happy to adapt to whatever’s needed.
I love cooking and would be happy to help in the kitchen or share some dishes from my culture. I’m fluent in English, so I’d also love to support language exchange or help with practicing conversation. I’m especially fond of animals and would be glad to care for pets as well. I have cute nephews and nieces, so I can also be a cool fun aunt and play with them or care for them, no worries, I promise they're safe with me!
Most of all, I’m excited to experience new cultures, learn from others, and if possible, practice my Mandarin along the way.

I've been in Taiwan for about 8 months now, but because of my classes I have a slow roll with my mandarin (now probably at A2 CEFR level), so I hope to improve my mandarin! But no worries, my English is very good, if you want me to teach you, it also shouldn't be a problem!

I live alone for quite some time, so I can say that I at least have a decent cleaning and cooking skill, if this count as skills, hahaha
I'm also quite a creative person, so I can help painting or making craft without you have to worry that I will destroy them
I'm also a quick learner, usually I can do a DIY project as long as I have a clear manual or instruction videos

I love travelling a lot, I also love swimming. I like playing board games too, and I am a self proclaimed good phone photographer (^_~), I'm also very good at hairdo, so if you need me to help with that, I'm so up to it too!
