Hello hosts and fellow workawayers! :)
We are Jo & Dries, a German-Belgian couple that met while traveling through Australia in 2012.
Roaming the planet together ever since, we live for the breathtaking views, wonderful wildlife and beautiful people that are out there for us to discover, marvel at and meet.
We were first introduced to WA during a trip to Costa Rica in 2017. Hungry for more adventure and meaningful interactions, we quit our jobs (as an event coordinator at an international firm and an educator in the social services respectively) to head out into the unknown once again.
Interested in looking at things through different lenses, Jo (and her camera!) can often be found documenting the wonders of the world. When the sun goes down, she usually gets lost in a book or practicing her fingerpicking skills on the guitar.
Mad about all things music, Dries has been a freelance music journalist for a couple of years now, hosting events, DJ'ing and curating playlists for businesses while he's at it. If you're into good vibrations, he's your guy.
We both have extensive experience in hospitality (from cocktail bars to restaurants and hostels), are easy going, sociable, open-minded and not afraid to get our hands dirty.
True citizens of the world at heart, we can keep a conversation going in English, German, Dutch and French, and are eager to improve our Spanish while on the road.
We are looking forward to meeting all of you at some point during our journey, and are more than happy to answer any other questions you might still have!
