Description
Kia ora! My name is Tane (pronounced “Ta-neh”) and I’m a kiwi who currently lives in Australia. Part-time touring musician, part-time landscaper and full-time student of life!
For me, travel is an opportunity to experience the more unique moments in life. Although I enjoy a picture-perfect holiday, what really excites me is connecting to landscapes, people and culture in a meaningful way. I think an awesome way to do this is to engage with and learn from the experiences of local communities.
I finished my studies last year in Psychology and Philosophy, however, since then I’ve also learnt some valuable skills in construction (mainly landscaping) alongside following my dream of being a full-time musician.

I have knowledge and skills in construction, and mostly landscape construction. I am confident using tools and have general knowledge about many different things in the trades. I enjoy manual labour but what I really love is carpentry. Although I'm not an expert, I have experience building retaining walls, fences, decks, doing paving and concreting. I am also skilled in general garden maintenance (mowing, hedging, planting, weeding etc.).
I like to cook, so I will include that as one of my skills too :).
I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Philosophy.

What else ...
Surfing is a big part of my life, I can't be away from the surf for too long! Big music-lover, I could discuss music all day and night. Love playing instruments (drums and guitar). Recently I've been putting a lot more effort and dedication into my meditation practise. Yoga and martial arts are also things that interest, I'm an orange belt in Judo!
