I’m currently travelling in East and Southeast Asia. I love to hike, paint, read and just generally explore.

Description

Hello! My name is Tamar and I am backpacking around Southeast Asia.

I love to visit new places, meet new people and try new things.

In university, I studied political science, studio art, and Spanish. As an artist, I try to find beauty in everything. This means I can find joy in even the most mundane tasks. I am also interested in helping with any art projects or leading art activities. I worked as a counselor at an art summer camp, so I have experience leading art activities.

I have primarily traveled within the United States and Central America. In Costa Rica, I volunteered at an animal rescue center for two and a half weeks. My favorite part of the experience, besides how cute all the animals were, was the community. I also spent a month volunteering at a dog shelter in Mexico and a few weeks volunteering at a hostel in Belize.

I am very social and LOVE talking to people. While I am a solo traveler and content spending time on my own, my favorite thing to do is meet new people and build friendships!

I also love reading, art and nature. I am always ready to go on adventures, try new things, and work hard. I have worked in various different settings such as political campaigns, nonprofit organizations, and food service, so I can adapt to most work environments.

I have experience in food preparation and service. I worked at a restaurant preparing food, taking orders, and serving guests.

I also have well-developed management skills as I have worked on and run multiple campaign teams which required overseeing a staff.

Additionally, I have experience with digital and social media management and website development. I have run social media for multiple political campaigns and for a nonprofit organization.

I am also an artist and can help with any ongoing art projects.
