Description
I'm an outdoorsy person from Finland, ready for my next project! Instead of rushing around to see as many places as possible, I prefer staying longer, making deeper connections and learning new skills. Workaway seems perfect for that.
Right now, I'd be especially motivated to gain experience with sled dogs. For some reason, already for a couple of years, I've felt this strange pull towards dog sledding and in my dreams, I would become musher one day. Who knows what happens, but I'd be more than willing to give it a chance and get at least a bit of practical experience with dog sledding and kennel work :)
I've actually previously worked as a wilderness and safari guide in the Finnish Lapland, so I'm no stranger to physical work in arctic conditions. With this background I'm sure I could adjust well also to the work in a husky kennel. I'm very eager to learn! I appreciate good team spirit and try to contribute to that from my side too.
Other than that, I love hiking and bikepacking trips, and have high respect for nature. I also enjoy reading, writing, podcasts, music and dance.

I have experience in taking care of different animals, for example horses, rescue cats and my friends' dogs. I've also learnt how to harness a reindeer :D
In the past I have volunteered in environmental work (planting trees and seeds etc.) and teaching (environmental education, English, Finnish, helping kids with homework). I have also helped dozens of people how to ride a bike :)
I have experience as a guide and in customer service.
I have some experience in digital marketing, so if you need some support in that, I can help in that as well! I also like photography but am not professional.
Basic housework and cooking skills, but I'm no masterchef.
Would be happy to learn new skills!
PS. I have lots of experience in communal living, so sharing my living space with other people is definitely not a problem!
