Description
Hello, we are Dora and Gabor from Hungary. We are beside each other for 17 years and married in 2016. We are travel bugs and visited many countries in the last few years but we felt that a holiday is never enough to explore the culture and get to know a country's real life. That's why we decided to quit our 9 to 5 jobs and start a long journey around the world in 2018. We traveled for almost a year and volunteered at 10 places, helped many families, and made life-long friendships. It was the best year ever and we just couldn't give up. I switched to an online position (4 hours), started our own little online business that makes us able to travel 6-8 month a year. We are eager to help local people, change our knowledge and experiences, and make the world a bit better.

I am (Dora) a marketer, so can help with any marketing task even if it's online, have graphic design, and creative skills. I love arts, cooking, have a special interest in healthy eating and living, and love to work with animals. We both love to be creative, always finding projects around the house and build by ourselves. My husband (Gabor) is a chemist in his profession, but he quit his job and just started working as a photographer. He is also a great handyman, he can fix anything around the house, he is passionate about creating stuff and make things work better. He worked on constructions, roofing, even beside a smith, he did a total renovation in our apartment, (walls, flooring, tiles, painting, etc.)
I love to take part in building projects, and learned a lot from him, also was a great side worker during volunteering.
We did 10 workaways in 2018 that was always the best experience on our journey. We worked on different projects from mud building, meditation center, art projects, creating, video and photographing, hospitality to construction. How can we help you? 😊

  Dora: has hay fewer but never was a problem outside of Europe, allergic to kazein, which is the protein in milk products. We are also both have a mild allergy for cat fur, but have pills and never been a problem cuddling them.
- Special dietary requirements
  Gabor is intollerant for milk so can not eat any milk products such as cheese, butter, cream etc. Dora is vegetarian - plant based but if it is a problem she can take care of her own food.

Dora and Gabor helped me for 5 weeks with multiple projects. They are reliable, hard working, have a lot of character, are trustworthy, and can work independently, or as part of a team. Gabor is proficient in the use of many tools: angle grinder, circular saw, chain saw, drills, and hand tools. Tools were always put away and the workplace has… read more never been more organised! He understood the importance of choosing the right timber for specific projects, crucial in the Daintree Rainforest, due to termites and timber rot. Dora helped Gabor, but also completed many projects on her own, she is excellent at painting and planted many plants around the property. Dora also helped prepare the holiday house for the arrival of guests. We accomplished a great many things in the time they were here, some major jobs were making the chicken pen snake proof, re roofing part of my dwelling, and putting in some extra supporting posts to stop the floor from shaking, putting up a car port roof at the holiday house, adding to roof for water collecting at the top of the hill, cutting and moving large logs for better flow and car access, putting up cement sheeting, levelling a floor and laying vinyl tiles, and putting up a roof at the fire pit area. They always helped in the kitchen with cooking and cleaning, we all enjoyed experimenting with the pizza oven, Gabor was very helpful with lighting the fires. They cleaned up after themselves and always respected my property, they were also tolerant of limitations in an off grid environment being careful with their use of water and power. At one point my mother became ill and they were helpful, kind and considerate when I needed help with her wheel chair and general care needs. They make a great team and could easily run their own B&B or holiday house, Dora is experienced in dealing with different personalities and has good English language skills. Gabor has excellent spatial awareness, with Dora's help with translation, some diagrams, and pointing at the work, it was easy to communicate what needed doing. They could easily take care of someone else's property/holiday business with some site specific training. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone needing volunteers or paid employees, they have good personal habits, present extremely well, and have oodles of integrity.
