Description
Hi all
I am Sara, a freelance art director and designer in my late thirties — founder of the Studio Fludd creative collective — currently living and teaching in lovely Turin, Italy.

I used to live in the unique city of Venice, where I graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts. There, I was also a happy Workaway host during two editions of a public art event. During those years, I cultivated my interest in color, visual arts, and community design projects.

I first joined Workaway in 2011 and since then I’ve had many unforgettable experiences. I explored the far north of Norway, Iceland, Sweden, and Finland, where I met wonderful, welcoming people and contributed to a wide range of tasks and projects.

I have extensive experience in childcare and creative activities for kids of all ages. My skills range from visual arts and craft projects to computer work, general organization, and sorting things out.

I travel both for exploration and research, seeking authentic and diverse contexts that inspire me and allow me to learn. I think the best way to really experience a culture is to go off the beaten path, and meet people in genuine, everyday settings.

I’m a no-problem, independent, responsible, and energetic woman, with a flexible and positive approach to life. I enjoy both teamwork and quiet moments on my own, and I’m usually able to make the best of any situation.

Sara worked and lived with us for six weeks and what a wonderful time that was. She is easy going and great to have a around.
