Hi! My name is Sophie and I am creating this account with my good friend Vanessa! We met in school this past year and have grown our excitement and enthusiasm about travel together. For me, learning about others, their journeys and the culture of where they live. I am a huge outdoor enthusiast and I love to get my hands dirty. I enjoy building projects, arts and crafts, hiking, rock climbing and almost every other outdoor activity there is. I pride myself in being a quick learner and I am always down for a good time! What brings me true joy is being able to connect with those around me, learn new things, physical activities (rock climbing especially) and variety in life. not only do the outdoors bring me excitement and occasional adrenaline, it also bring me serenity and peace. I hope I can learn so much from whichever host will have me and Ness!!

One of my favorite things is hearing people’s stories about their adventures. I’ve always grown up helping my dad with projects, so I love to work with my hands and learn new things!

Hi! I’m Vanessa, and my favorite thing in the world is to travel and see everything. I love to try new things, from activities to food, and always enjoy learning more. I’ve always helped my parents out with all their projects. I’ve helped build houses, paint rooms, cook meals, and work in the garden. I’m hoping to help out and pick up new skills!

What else ...

I love to play games and I am an outdoor person through and through. Growing up we were always the family to play card games, board games and make up games outside. I always try to have a deck of cards on my person just in case. Some board games I enjoy are: Settlers of Catan, Clue, Life, Scene It and Monopoly. All of the classics. I know many card games and I only sporadically enjoy playing video games with my family as they don’t interest me as much. I also enjoy a good yard game! Four square volleyball and corn hole are so nostalgic! Other than those I enjoy hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, paddle boarding, swimming, painting, sewing and embroidery. I have lately been interested in making short films but it’s a recent and underdeveloped interest which I hope to dive deeper into.
