  • Description

Hi! I’m Sofía, I’m from Argentina and I’m a recently graduated English translator. I’d describe myself as calm, curious, and friendly — someone who enjoys learning, discovering new places, and connecting with people from different cultures. I’m not into extreme adventures, but I do enjoy meaningful experiences and getting out of my routine when I travel.

I’ll be traveling around Europe soon, mostly in Spain and Italy, and I’d love to experience daily life from a more local perspective. I think Workaway is a beautiful way to exchange, learn, and help out in a natural, relaxed way. I’m especially looking forward to having real conversations, contributing with what I can, and learning about different ways of living.

I come from a small town but have also lived in a big city, so I’m good at adapting to different environments. I work remotely in the evenings, so I’m used to being independent and organizing my time responsibly. I enjoy calm surroundings, nature, walking, and having a good chat — especially if there’s something new to learn from it.

This is my first experience with Workaway, but I’ve done informal language exchanges before and really enjoy those moments where language becomes a bridge between people.

If you're looking for someone respectful, easygoing, and genuinely interested in sharing and helping, I’d be happy to be part of your project or home!

More details about my language interests
I’m really passionate about languages — I love how they connect people and open doors to new cultures. I speak Spanish as my native language and I’ve been speaking English for many years now. I use it daily for work and feel comfortable in conversations, both formal and informal. I enjoy helping others improve their language skills, especially through relaxed, everyday conversations. I also find it fun to notice the little differences between accents and expressions from different regions. I’d be happy to share what I know and also learn new languages or expressions along the way!

  • More details about your skills

I recently graduated as an English translator, so languages are definitely one of my strengths. I speak both English and Spanish fluently, and I’d be happy to help others practice either language in a relaxed, friendly way. I’ve helped people improve their conversation skills before, and I really enjoy the exchange that happens when we learn together.

Because of my studies and remote work experience, I’m organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable using computers and communication tools. I’m also a good listener and have no problem following instructions or routines.

I wouldn’t say I have any big “technical” skills, but I’m quite practical and I enjoy helping out with day-to-day tasks. I can assist with cleaning, organizing spaces, basic gardening, walking pets, or just keeping company. I’ve helped take care of younger family members and older relatives too, so I’m used to adapting to people’s needs and being patient and respectful.

Also, I’m always open to learning new things — whether it’s how to use a tool, cook a local dish, or do something I’ve never done before. I believe that having a good attitude and being willing to try makes a big difference.

If there’s something I don’t know how to do yet, I’m probably excited to learn it!
