Hello! My name is Simone and I am from the Massachusetts in the United States. I am a recent graduate from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, studying business management and environmental studies. I am currently traveling abroad and looking for great experiences to enrich my travels! I am a very open minded person and love learning about and experiencing new cultures, places, food, and everything in between!

Some of my hobbies include photography, art, cooking, hiking, reading, yoga, and just being active. I feel a strong connection to the outdoors and would spend all of my time outside and exploring if I could. This being said, it’s always nice after traveling for so long to have a place to call home for a while while exploring there. I would love to further my passion for cooking, traveling, as well as learn about new cultures and how to live sustainably through Workaway experiences.

I have five years of experience working in the hospitality industry as well as the tourism industry. I have worked in restaurants, hotels, and volunteered at a hostel before. I went to university for environmental studies as well as business, with an interest in sustainability in local communities. I also have experience gardening and caring for plants as well.

I am an incredibly driven individual and love to get my hands dirty. I hope to be able to explore more of the environment and gain more experience in that field during my time abroad and through workaways. I am a very flexible and welcoming person, and I am so excited to meet new people and try new things!

Some of my hobbies include hiking, cooking, art, travel, and being active. I absolutely love trying new things and exploring and I cannot wait until I have the chance to do this more in new places. Something I do whenever I get the chance to is cook. If I were able to bring this passion into my workaway I would be over the moon. Since being outside of the United States, I have been able to explore new ingredients and recipes and I hope to someday do something with this hobby of mine professionally.
