Hi there! I’m from Singapore, a bustling city with no mountains or forests, so I’m really excited to dive into farm life here in Europe. I am 22 Years Old this year in my third year of University majoring in sociology. I’m currently on exchange at Erasmus University in the Netherlands, and during my breaks I’d love to spend time outdoors learning about farming, animals, and nature—things I never really got the chance to explore back home. I’m passionate about animal welfare and the environment, and I bring along lots of curiosity and a “willing-to-learn” attitude. I’m also quite active—I enjoy running, going to the gym, playing sports, volunteering, and even crocheting when I want something more relaxing. As a new Workawayer, I’m looking forward to meeting new people, picking up new skills, and simply enjoying the fun of living close to nature.

Back home in Singapore, I volunteered with horses for about 9–10 months at an equine animal assisted therapy organisation(THERIS) , which really deepened my passion for animals. While I’m not an expert, I gained hands-on experience with grooming, taking them for walks, and generally learning how to care for them. This experience made me eager to keep learning more about animals and their wellbeing. I also assist with cilent sessions (planning, and assisting the main therapist).Coming from a city where farming isn’t common, I’m also very curious to try my hand at planting, weeding, and other outdoor tasks. I speak fluent English and Mandarin, and I’m always excited to share my skills while picking up new ones along the way!
