Hello! My name is Shelly and I’m currently living in the mountains of Santa Cruz, California. I am very interested in agriculture and absolutely love growing my own food. Through Workaway I am looking to experience different places, people, and ways of life. I try to live a healthy and balanced life and enjoy working hard and having a good time. I appreciate a good meal shared together but can also take my own space and be self-sufficient. I love to travel as a means to help with people's projects and invest in meaningful ways. I have worked in a variety of places with all kinds of people, animals and projects. I’ve done about 8 different host exchanges around the world, mostly through “wwoofing”. I enjoy gardening, cooking, and have many years of experience working with horses. I currently work remotely for an organic certifying organization, and have a good amount of experience with organic farming.
