Shehzad: I graduated from the University of California at Davis California with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a minor in Education.

Even though my skills are primarily related to technology, I have had diverse experiences around the world. After graduation, I spent 1-year teaching technology to high school students in Tanzania. I later worked for a micro-lending non-profit called One Acre Fund where I designed technology tools for smallholder farmers in East Africa to access loans. Most recently, I co-founded a social enterprise that protects smallholder farmers from weather risks (by insuring them).

I'm a hard worker and a quick learner and was schooled in a military-style school in India. I've done field service in several parts of Africa and I'm extremely flexible, even though I'm now used to the comforts of Luxembourg.

The biggest highlight of this workaway has been Julia and her beautiful house. Julia is such a kind, sensitive and caring person, and she is such a good listener. What amazes me is how hard working she is and despite of working 9 hrs a day she still finds time to put a smile on her face and entertain her guests/volunteers.

I spent 4 weeks at Nicolette's house and these have definitely been some of the most memorable moments in my life. My favorite thing about Nicolette is her flexibility - as long as you work hard and fairly contribute, you'll have all the flexibility you like.
