  • Description

Hello! I am a freelancer working remotely while traveling around Europe. I signed up for Workaway because I want to expand my worldview, learn about new cultures, and meet new people. Since I am solo traveling, I really value community and places that make me feel at home. I love to go on adventures and to really get to know the city I'm visiting and the people that live there. Wherever I go, I try and get outside and enjoy nature, dance, read, and hike. I'm also partial to a good night out every once in a while, especially for live music!

More details about my language interests
I have experience teaching English; I was an assistant ESL teacher and main teacher for both preschool, elementary, college students, and adults , as well as a reading and writing tutor for preschoolers. I am very well versed in Spanish but am not natively fluent, so I am always looking for an opporunity to learn and practice more! Lastly, my partner is French, and I am currently learning French from him and through podcasts. I would love any help with my French I can get.

  • More details about your skills

I’m a college graduate and professional who has built my career by working hard, adapting quickly, and saying yes to opportunities across countries, industries, and work environments. I earned my B.A. from the University of Southern California, double-majoring in Philosophy, Politics, Law and Journalism, fully supported by competitive scholarships and consistent Dean’s List recognition. Balancing full-time studies with part-time work, I learned how to manage competing priorities, maintain strong performance under pressure, and show up for my commitments even when resources were limited.

My experience spans law, education, journalism, customer service, and administration, and I have worked in in‑person, hybrid, and fully remote roles across the U.S., Spain, Taiwan, and beyond.

In legal settings, I supported attorneys, managing case files, handling sensitive documents, and coordinating payments and filings with precision. In higher education and operations roles, I oversaw data entry and record management, coordinated events, streamlined administrative workflows, and supported students navigating new academic and cultural environments.

As an ESL tutor and transcriber, I led 1:1 online sessions with professionals and students, providing live, written feedback on grammar and fluency while managing tight timelines and high volumes of lessons. My hybrid internship with Ms. magazine allowed me to pitch, research, and write political pieces, attend press conferences, and interview high-profile individuals—sharpening my reporting, writing, and editorial judgment for both in-person and remote environments.

Most recently, as a main ESL teacher in Taiwan, I led classes of 20+ students, designing immersive, skills-based lessons while adapting to a new country and culture as an immigrant worker.

I'm excited to volunteer at hostels, restaurants, bars, or a mix—bringing my communication, organization, customer service, and critical thinking skills to help with daily ops, guest support, events, or whatever needs doing. I love immersing in local communities, sharing stories, and contributing hands-on while learning from you!

  • What else ...

I love playing board games (I get a bit competitive, but it's all in good fun!). I'm an animal lover so if there are any animals around, I WILL be petting them. I know how to whip up quite a few vegetarian-friendly meals. Lastly, I have such a big sweet tooth, I would eat a pastry for breakfast every day if I could.
