Description
I like to say 'yes' to adventures.
I grew up in the city of Amsterdam, capital of probably the flattest land on Earth. Despite growing up in the city I always had a love for nature and specifically for the mountains.
As soon as I could explore the world, I did. When I was 17 I did my first trip on my own, I took my bicycle and drove 900km through France. Since then I've made many more trips most of them hiking trips, all over Europe. During my studies I had the opportunity to take part in two exchange programs. This allowed me to explore India and Nepal for 7 months and Norway a couple years later for another 6 months. After my studies I've worked in beautiful Mozambique for 7 months.I hope to continue the exploration for the rest of my life.Interests

My interests range far and wide. I'm always trying to explore and develop as many skills as possible, maybe not excelling in a single one of them, but rather mastering as many as I can. To list all of these skills would probably not fit on this page.
At this moment, for example, I'm in the process of starting a company, together with two companions, to start recycling plastics in furniture production with a 3D printer. I'm learning a lot of new things ranging from business plans, plastic properties, design alternatives to welding and building my own machines. The diversity of learning these new skills is what I love about it.
I have a masters of science degree in architecture. I have a love for exploring the possibilities of digital design and digital manufacturing for a new, more sustainable, world. Naturally I posses many skills I learned during my studies.
My interest in new technologies has, since a couple of years, led me to develop and build unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV's or 'drones') as a hobby. This resulted in a temporary job in Mozambique, Africa, where I've worked for 6 months to set up a project to train local people to fly UAV's, making photographs of the crops and providing detailed NDVI maps to the local smallholder farmers. During this experience I've learned a lot about farming and about managing a team of students.Age
