Description
Hi all! My name is Sadie and I'm excited to join the Workaway community:) I'm an inquisitive and adventurous individual who is always looking to explore new places and learn new things. I am enthusiastic and hard-working and will 100% get behind whatever task I am doing.
I am happiest when I am surrounded by people I love or when I am in nature (bonus if it's sunny and there's a nice view)! I am inspired by meeting new people and hearing about the things they are passionate about. I love discovering new ways to make a positive impact, both within community and the world as a whole. I'm always searching for ways to grow and improve as a person, to better my relationships and the way I relate to the world.
I'm passionate about sustainability and environmentalism and am eager to learn about new practices I can incorporate into my daily life. I love to cook and have been a vegetarian/pescatarian for 10 years so I am always on the lookout for more delicious plant-based recipes. I'm also interested in learning about foraging and cooking from scratch so if you have any tips or tricks I'm open!
In my spare time I like to crochet and do other crafty things (and would love to pick up more skills or share my skills with others!). I like bouldering, and am hoping to find more opportunities to climb outdoors! I'm also a big animal lover. I believe that all creatures great and small deserve our respect and kindness. I have a dog of my own back home (who I miss very much) so, if you have pets, I will be very happy to hang with them!
I'm from the UK, but completed a year-long exchange studying in Montréal (Tiohtià:ke) in 2022/2023. My first experience using work-away was last summer, where I met some amazing people and learnt a lot of new things. I'm keen to continue using work-away to explore new places and make a positive impact whilst travelling.
I hope this bio gives you a bit of an idea of what I'm like, looking forward to connecting with some of you soon! :)))Interests

I have done gardening work at previous workaways and am interested in learning more farm related skills!
Most importantly, I'm extremely enthusiastic and keen to learn new things!! So whatever the task, be assured, that I will give it my absolute all and learn from your wisdom!Age

What else ...
I'm always down for board or card games, and interesting conversations about life or philosophy or anything. I'm usually more of a listener than a talker so I'd love to hear stories about all your adventures (though I'm happy to share too). I like to escape technology whenever I can (i.e. phone, laptop) and would love to try out the things you are passionate about.
I'm a queer woman and it is important to me that you cultivate a safe space free of any kind of hate or discrimination. I'm open minded and always interested in meeting people with differing views to me, but respect for human rights is an absolute non-negotiable (and a commitment to fighting injustice is very important). No tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia or zionism. Some more information
