Description
Hi! We're a teacher and a magician with two home-educated boys, Rudi aged 8 and Nico 5. We are looking to broaden our horizons in 2025 and show our boys more of the world, whilst getting to meet wonderful new people and share our skills. We are currently staying in Alanya, Turkey.
The boys are lively and fun loving, their hobbies include reading, drawing, lego, being out in nature, riding bikes and stroking cats!
Before having children we worked abroad teaching English as a foreign language in South Korea and Saudi Arabia. We travelled a fair bit to, and did a few workaways in Australia and Spain. Rachel loves to write and is currently working on her novel, she also loves adventuring, paddleboarding and wild swimming. Lee is pretty much happy anywhere and even better if he has as a deck of cards to hand. He loves to perform to any willing participants!
We consider ourselves to be helpful and useful human beings! We all enjoy learning new things, gaining new experiences and meeting interesting people.

Most amazing workaways. Ever. Rachel and Lee are simply the most perfect pair you could ever hope to have stay. From the moment they arrived, it was as if they had been here for years. very comfortable. They are polite, respectful and hardworking, and yet full of mischief, fun and fancy.

I never imagined Lee would actually be a GOOD magician. I… read more thought he might have a few slightly lame but amusing tricks - the sort you get at a kids toy store. Maybe he might be a little better than that. Except - he arrived and I quickly realised he was a commercial quality magician, masquerading as a traveller. His magic simply amazed a lot of folk he showed, and he has an infectious laughable smile, that makes everyone happy as they watch the impossible happen right before your eyes. This was someone I'd pay to go see, and boast to my friends that I actually knew. (No really - I have met him!). But yet here he was, washing sheets, cleaning my home, and mowing my lawn, and even using his magic skills in the kitchen to conjure up many delicious creations. To say I got more out of the engagement with him than expected would be an understatement.

But wait, there's more. Not only do you get the incredible Lee, but you also get the Amazing Rachel. Worthy of a capital A, and so much more. She is sweetness and light personified, in a similarly mischievous personality that can only make you smile and be happy, when she is around. She is so clever, having done her Masters in literature like Lee (he completed his while they stayed here for around five weeks). Rachel is so clever, with great attention to detail. She was a fantastic help with organising my (soon to be) famous Bnb treasure hunt, and much more. Whenever I thought she was wrong in something, it turned out it was actually me. She would correct me politely but with confidence, and I am so appreciative she was not boring and overly polite. She has just enough polite, but not enough to get in the way. Perfect.

Like Lee, Rachel is so dedicated and hardworking. They are both amazing with children, and Rachel is working on her childrens book with such inspired colorful illustrations. They said they didn't want to gush as it might look weird, but I can't hold back so bad luck. These pair were such a fantastic and dynamic duo, that I still can't believe it is possible to have such talent turn up on your doorstep, for little more than a sausage, and perform magical miracles while staying here. I miss them already, Mr Magic and Ms Ukulele, and would highly recommend them to any other host.
