Hello! My name is Riya, I'm a curious, friendly and caring individual. I always try to seek out new adventures and like meeting new people along the way :) I am fluent in English and Malayalam and intermediate in French. I was born in India and grew up in Ireland so I know there are many ways to live life! I would like to explore the world and see other perspectives, cultures and languages. For that reason I want to visit places, experience what it has to offer and perhaps improve my French a little! I'm new to Workaway but I have experience of volunteering in my local community, for example community garden, food re-distribution service etc.
I have two younger sisters who are very dear to my heart. I would say I'm a very playful character because I grew up with them and I love playing make-believe (like dungeons and dragons), I also enjoy doing crafts, making yummy food and playing sport.
I have a lot of compassion for all life on the planet, for that reason I'm vegan and I dedicated my higher education on learning about sustainability. I also have a deep interest in community, and moving away from being glued to the screen and being connected to the people around you!
I think we're put on this earth to be happy, have fun and look out for one another.
