I love to connect with and take care of nature. Walking in the forest, pressing flowers, and fighting for environmental justice are activities that I treasure and plan to continue throughout my life. I really cherish my connections with other people and in particular my close friendships. I also love reading, having thoughtful and interesting conversations, and learning about history, foreign languages, science, art, and sociology. I am also passionate about fashion and dancing! I dance about once a week, and know several styles: swing (east coast, lindy hop, charleston, balboa), salsa, bachata, and fusion. I love pets and children, and I love to cook and sing.

I grew up on an urban farm with an extensive edible garden, chickens, quail, turkeys, and goats, and my mother owns and operates a large farm & garden business, so I have spent a lot of time doing garden work and taking care of animals. I love animals and plants and I enjoy working with them!
I also helped my dad with lots of home renovation and garden projects as a way to earn money throughout middle school and high school. This included removing and installing floors, replacing cabinetry, putting up shelves, painting, weeding, creating garden beds, planting, removing lawn, and pouring concrete.
I'm not a big person (I'm 5'8 tall and about 125 pounds) so I can't do extremely heavy lifting, but I can do most light/medium manual labor, and I'm a hard worker, as well as being good with animals and kids :)
Most of my official job experience has been working in seafood restaurants as a busser, food runner, and server. I love working socially with other people, and having a job where I'm on my feet. I'm a quick learner and I ask a lot of questions to understand how things work. I'm good at cooperating with others and stepping in where I see a need!
