Hello, right now it's just me, my name is Richelyn, a passionate traveler with a love for learning, adventure, and cultural exchange.
I'm originally from Venezuela, I hold a degree in Tourism. I’ve spent the last decade living abroad, including two years in France and five years in Romania, where I built my home and rooted myself.
After completing a significant chapter of my life in Romania, I began a new one by embarking on a long-term journey.
I’ve been on the road since December 2023, documenting my travels on my YouTube channel and exploring new ways to connect with people and places.
My goal is to continue traveling for at least another year, immersing myself in local cultures and learning new skills along the way.
I’m a curious soul who’s always seeking to learn and grow. I thrive in nature and love spending time outdoors—whether it’s hiking, exploring forests, or learning about the local flora and fauna. I’m a big animal lover and feel at peace when I’m surrounded by nature. I’m also passionate about arts, music, reading, and dancing, and I try to live a lifestyle that’s in harmony with nature and mindful of the environment around me.
A little about what I can offer:
I’m a person of many passions. I absolutely love hands-on projects—whether it’s crafting, DIY furniture building, or house renovation. Back in Romania, I renovated my own home, building everything from scratch, from kitchen furniture, plants stands, bathroom, etc.
I also have gardening experience as I spent two years trying to grow my own organic vegetables and fruits. I’m always eager to learn more and help out in any garden project.
I completed my yoga teacher training in India and have been practicing for over 10 years, so I’d love to share that passion if there’s interest!
Creativity is central to who I am, and I enjoy working with my hands through crochet, macramé, drawing, and painting. I’m equally comfortable in physical work as I am in artistic endeavors, so whether it’s building, painting, gardening or even yoga and meditation, I’m happy to contribute in whatever way I can.
I also have experience with filming and photography, which I use to capture and edit videos of my travels.
Why I’m here:
I’m on Workaway to dive deeper into the local culture of the places I visit and to exchange skills, knowledge, and experiences with others. Volunteering gives me the opportunity to engage meaningfully with the communities I encounter, and I’m excited to help wherever I’m needed while learning something new in return.
My travel and volunteer experience:
So far, I’ve traveled to about 30 countries, with some incredible volunteer experiences. I taught English in Indonesia, helped out at a resort in the Philippines, and volunteered twice in Italy—once assisting with household tasks and another time gardening and painting a mural. Most recently, I volunteered at two farms in Turkey: a walnut farm near Kaman and an organic farm near Izmit. Each experience has enriched my journey, and I’m always open to new challenges and projects.
Availability:
As a full-time traveler, I’m flexible with my time. I usually stay for at least a week in each place and extend my stay if everything aligns well, often for 2–3 weeks depending on the stage of my journey.

Honestly at first I joined this workaway lured by the camel festival and a wedding happening around this time. But I have left it with so much more than that.
Here I got the opportunity to feel like I was part of an Indian family, and learn about the way of life in a small town in Rajasthan.

The journey to get there was pretty long and tiring due to remote location. But I could say that the effort was definitely worth it.
This off the grid experience was very enriching for me.
I was assigned the project of creating a nice space to hang around the fire. I was very happy working on this project… read more
