    ▪ ▪ LIFE BALANCE▪ ▪

    If I could define myself in some hashtags they would be #slowlife #minimalism #mindfulness.
    I aim to connect to places where I could spend more time close to nature, learning and developing good habits. In exchange, I would like to offer my willingness, abilities, and skills to be useful for some hours a week in exchange for getting an "anywhere office" around the world.

    I'm not new to this world of travelers: In Brazil, I lived in different parts of this huge country, even in the Amazon. Abroad, I lived in Spain, Chile, and Latvia.
    I worked on a cruise ship! At that time, I was able to visit more than 30 countries. If that wasn't enough, I worked with more than 70 nationalities on board!
    I'm able to demonstrate cultural awareness and work with language barriers. Open-minded, independent, and a self-starter with a strong interest in the third sector.

    Based on my best and worst previous experiences as a volunteer, I would like to set here some expectations from my side:

    1. **Commitment** - According to my personal profile, it doesn’t matter if I’m a volunteer doing just a work exchange or being a volunteer who in addition to the work exchange receives pocket money, I will always look to do my tasks properly as per our agreement;

    2. **Adaptation** - I strongly believe in life balance.
    I was a workaholic for a long time until I got seriously sick of the burnt-out syndrome. Disorganized environments are not for me. Also, if the host doesn't have the patience/time/interest to show me/ teach me how things work in the place, I don't believe it will be a good match;

    3. **Respect [1]** - Even though I’m not a clock-watcher person - I have some flexibility about working extra hours if needed - I do appreciate being respected for our agreements. I might even be open to making a new one too.

    "But Renata, I will pay you for these extra hours". Perfect, but this is not the matter here: While I’m working, I will be fully engaged, for after work I'm always planning to do other stuff of my interest.

    4. **Respect [2]** - Last but not least: A clean place to stay. It is obvious in the culture I come from, but I was already hosted in a place where I needed to clean a lot of moldy dust before settling in. I felt sad by this attitude and it seemed like the host didn't care about my well-being, I was only a cheap workforce.

  • More details about your skills

    Experienced Tourism & Hospitality professional. For over a decade, I worked from the base (housekeeping, waitress, receptionist) to top positions, such as hospitality leader & general manager. In that regard, if you are a hostel/guest house/hotel/any kind of lodge, I could help you in many ways.
    Since 2017, I have been running my own business as a travel agency and tour guide official registered with the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism.

    In general, I'm good at decluttering! I'm keen on cleaning, organizing, categorizing,...!
    Detail-oriented, creative-thinking.
