Heyo, I'm Regan (she/her), a 25 year old English teacher in the Canary Islands (originally from Ohio, U.S.)

I feel most alive when learning from other cultures and connecting with new people. I try to live as sustainable as possible because climate justice is really important to me, and I love helping Mother Nature as she helps us. Along the same lines, I am passionate about intersectional activism and making positive change through community. Some things that bring me joy are hammocking in the woods, dancing to new music, swimming, playing board games, watching musicals, petting cats, and eating sweets.

Hola, soy Regan (ella),una profesor de inglés en las Islas Canarias de 25 años de edad (originalmente de Ohio en los EE.UU.)


Me siento la más viva cuando aprendo de otras culturas y conecto con nuevas personas. Intento vivir tan sostenible como posible porque me importa muchísimo la justicia climática y amo ayudar a la Madre Naturaleza como nos ayuda ella. Junto con eso, estoy apasionada por el activismo interseccional y por el cambio positivo a través de comunidad. Algunas cosas que me dan alegría son estar en una hamaca paraguaya, bailar a música nueva, nadar, jugar juegos de mesa, mirar musicales, acariciar gatos, y comer postres.

I have a bachelor’s in teaching Spanish and I am a native English speaker with a TEFL certificate so I would love to teach either language. I am also eager to improve my Spanish and am open to learning other languages! ---- Estoy licenciada en la enseñanza de español y soy una hablante nativa de inglés con un certificado de TEFL, así que me encantaría enseñar cualquier idioma. ¡También estoy entusiasmada por mejorar mi español y estoy abierta a aprender otras lenguas!

I graduated with a bachelor's in Spanish Education and also earned my TEFL certificate so I can teach both languages and I enjoy working with all ages. I´ve worked years in the fast food industry so I know how to learn fast and work hard under pressure. I will also happily do cleaning and organizing because I often find it therapeutic. I was a tour guide for my college campus and not only got to share my love for the university and town but also developed great people skills. Like most young people, I am active on social media so if you want help with instagram, tiktok, facebook, etc I know my way around it. I also enjoy digital organization like Google Drive, OneDrive, setting up a laptop, etc. I love animals and nature so I would be ecstatic to learn how to work with them and develop a green thumb. In addition to a great foundation, I’m eager to expand my skill set and widen my knowledge.

Me licencié en la enseñanza de español y también obtuve mi certificado para enseñar inglés entonces puedo enseñar los dos idiomas y disfruto trabajar con todas edades. He trabajado años en la industria de comida rápida así que sé aprender rápido y trabajar duro bajo presión. También felizmente haré la limpieza y organización porque frecuentemenete las encuentro terapéuticas. Era guía de tours en el campus de mi universidad y no solo tuve la oportunidad de compartir mi amor por la universidad y el pueblo sino también desarrollé las habilidades sociales. Como muchos jóvenes, estoy activa en las redes sociales entonces si quieres ayuda con Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc conozco hacerlo. Además, disfruto la organización digital como Google Drive, OneDrive, configurar un portátil, etc. Amo los animales y la naturaleza así que estaré extática aprender cómo trabajar con ellos y desarrollar mis capacidades como jardinería. Además de tener una fundación estable, estoy entusiasta por expandir mis habilidades y ampliar mi conocimiento.

What else ...

As a member of the queer community it's important to me that the places I go are LGBTQ friendly. Sunsets are my favorite, in fact people always tell me I notice the sky more than most, and I love that they can be appreciated no matter where you are in the world. I grew up in a board/card game family so I love teaching and learning games; my favorite right now is Catan. My family are also big movie-watchers and so am I, but I have been trying to get back into my love for reading. Lastly, I am excited for some more adventure in my life!

Como miembro de la comunidad queer es importante que los lugares a donde voy son LGBTQ amigables. Los atardeceres son mis favoritos, de hecho siempre me dicen que me fijo en el cielo más que la mayoría, y amo que los puede apreciar sin importar donde estás en el mundo. Crecí en una familia de juegos de mesa y cartas, entonces amo enseñar y aprender juegos; mi favorito es Catan. Mi familia también es amante de películas y también soy yo, pero he estado intentando volver a mi pasión de leer. ¡Finalmente, estoy emocionada por más aventuras en mi vida!
