I have been living in Japan with a working holiday visa since November 2023. During this time, I have lived in Hokkaido and Tokyo while also exploring many other prefectures north of Tokyo.

Description

It is really important to me to try and have a positive impact on society while also having the opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds. I also love meeting new people, embracing new cultures and experiencing local traditions.

I have been travelling for the past year and have been to almost 40 countries around the world. It brings me great happiness to be able to contribute to meaningful projects while also travelling.

I have a Masters degree in engineering and previously worked in sustainability for almost four years. I consider myself to be independent, hard working and a quick learner.

I love cooking and have spent made many large group meals for friends and family in recent years. I am an avid gardener and used to have a large garden in Ireland with many vegetables and herbs growing. With my background in engineering, I am also very handy and would have no problems helping out with any manual labour or minor construction jobs.

I also have previous Workaway experience as I have been volunteering in a conversation cafe in Tokyo very recently.

Apart from my love for travelling, I also thoroughly enjoy hiking, exploring nature and just generally being outdoors. I also love cooking and baking, especially for friends and family so that we can all share food together. My other hobbies and interests include football, bouldering and skiing.
