We are Pascale and Fred, a pair of germans travelling around the south of europa in our van. Along with us, there is our young doggess (or rather still puppy) Azula, about a be a year old.
Starting in december, we will be living in and around our home on wheels - Knut the Knutschmobil - mostly in Spain and Portugal.

We've been workawaying in different countries before - both, together and for ourselves - and, except once, always liked the experience.

Back in germany, Fred used to work in an organic & fairtrade food company and is a barista and coffee roaster by heart. That also explains his great interest in anything, when it comes to coffee. In the past, Fred used to work all kinds of jobs, considering himself as very adaptable to all sorts of work and labor, with a fascination on DIY building or crafting projects - basically anything including tools :) or being in the kitchen, cooking, baking, serving meals for people


Pascale did finish her master in psychology in the beginning of 2023. Sie is also a expert with essential oils and natural aromas and a yoga instructor in the making. For the past 6 months she worked as a guide/companion for clients in a psychological therapy environment. She also likes to be creative, create new things and let off steam in the garden and learn more about the fascinating world of plants.

Together, we are usually making a really good team regarding most things we we do.
We are both a bit of the adventurous type, always finding new stuff to do when we have time together, and on the same time enjoying a solid base and a known environment where we can relax and enjoy time for ourselves and each other.
In our everyday live, we fancy time for yoga, meditation, reading, writing or a good conversation rather than having a lot of people around us and party going on all the time.

Fred will be working a part time remote job out of the van, so its important for him to either have mobile reception or a solid local internet connection. Its going to be mostly mondays to wednesdays, for around 2-4h a day.

For our workaway project, we would like to connect with hosts that are not just looking for cheap worker, but actually want to meet on the same level, and learn and teach with each other.

Our spanish language skills are, if anything, okay. Basic communication is gonna work just fine, and we are still learning more. English or german is the way, so far.

Also we are kind of stuck about what else to say in here. Written words can just barely describe a person, or two, and how they are as people and whatever. We would be glad to get to show you in real life :)

Somos Pascale y Fred, una pareja de alemanes viajando por el sur de Europa en nuestra furgoneta. Junto a nosotros está nuestra joven perrita (o más bien cachorra) Azula, a punto de cumplir un año.
A partir de diciembre, viviremos en y alrededor de nuestro hogar sobre ruedas, Knut el Knutschmobil, principalmente en España y Portugal.

Hemos participado en proyectos de Workaway en diferentes países antes, tanto juntos como por separado, y, excepto una vez, siempre nos ha gustado la experiencia.

De vuelta en Alemania, Fred solía trabajar en una empresa de alimentos orgánicos y de comercio justo, siendo barista y tostador de café de corazón. Eso también explica su gran interés en todo lo relacionado con el café. En el pasado, Fred trabajaba en todo tipo de empleos, considerándose muy adaptable a todo tipo de trabajo y labor, con una fascinación por proyectos de construcción o artesanía de bricolaje, básicamente cualquier cosa que incluyera herramientas :)

Pascale terminó su maestría en psicología a principios de 2023. También es experta en aceites esenciales y aromas naturales, y está en camino de convertirse en instructora de yoga. Durante los últimos 6 meses, trabajó como guía/compañera para clientes en un entorno de terapia psicológica. También le gusta ser creativa, crear cosas nuevas y desahogarse en el jardín y aprender más sobre el fascinante mundo de las plantas.

Juntos, generalmente formamos un muy buen equipo en la mayoría de las cosas que hacemos.
Ambos somos un poco del tipo aventurero, siempre encontrando cosas nuevas para hacer cuando tenemos tiempo juntos, y al mismo tiempo disfrutamos de una base sólida y un entorno conocido donde podemos relajarnos y disfrutar del tiempo para nosotros mismos y el uno al otro.
En nuestra vida diaria, preferimos tiempo para yoga, meditación, lectura, escritura o una buena conversación en lugar de tener mucha gente alrededor y fiestas constantes.

Fred trabajará a tiempo parcial en un trabajo remoto desde la furgoneta, así que es importante para él tener recepción móvil o una conexión a Internet local sólida. Será principalmente de lunes a miércoles, durante alrededor de 2-4 horas al día.

Para nuestro proyecto de Workaway, nos gustaría conectarnos con anfitriones que no solo estén buscando mano de obra barata, sino que realmente quieran encontrarse en el mismo nivel, y aprender y enseñar mutuamente.

Nuestras habilidades en español son, si acaso, aceptables. La comunicación básica funcionará bastante bien, y aún estamos aprendiendo más. Hasta ahora, el inglés o alemán son las opciones.

También estamos un poco atascados en cuanto a qué más decir aquí. Las palabras escritas apenas pueden describir a una persona, o dos, y cómo son como personas y demás. Nos alegraría poder mostrarte en la vida real :)

What else ...

we are not looking for a place where we can simply trade work for food and accommodation. we would actually prefer to get to know you as a host and a local. you do probably know a whoooole lot of things about the people of your country, about the food you eat or what places you would go to. for us, meeting locals and learn from them, is the actual spirit of travelling. helping you succeed with your work though, is a way for us to get involved in what locals do.
