Hi, we are Hanna (25) & Farhad (27) :)
we met in 2017 and are creating the life we would like to live since then. We travelled a lot together, moved from a village to a city and mastered several crisis. From the past 8 years we can say that we love the way we cooperate and function together - as a couple but also with others. We are absolutely open-minded and love communicating with humor. As you can see in our profile, our interests for projects and activities have few boundaries, when it comes not only to what we are good at, but what our interests are.
As every couple is made of individuals, here is some more background information.
Hanna:
I fully operate out of passion and purpose and like to take on life adventures as they come. I love experiencing new cultures and obtain my energy from meeting new people that share the same values. My personal vision is to form a business that operates for the well-being of communities rather than only saving an income for myself. When I was 16, I lived a year in a host family in Argentina and feel like I'm rooted there ever since. That year shaped me in all different ways and set a starting point for my path in tourism management, which has now turned into a vision for sustainable tourism that brings real benefits. For my bachelor dissertation I worked closely with a small community development project in a remote place in Ecuador connected to volunteerism. Now it's time to discover volunteering myself!
Farhad:
I am a practical person who learns by approaching new issues. When I set myself a goal, there's no way from stopping me to achieve it. I would consider myself an extrovert who loves making people around me laugh. I was born in Afghanistan, lived many years in Iran and decided to start my life in Germany in 2016 together with my brother, seeking better opportunities. In Germany, I became an Electrician and love how the study taught me so many manual skills. But my bigger interests are fitness and health/nutrition. I spend quite some time in the gym and help others achieving their personal goals by providing them with workout and nutrition plans. In 2024, I competed in the class of Men's Physique for the first time and almost qualified for the World Cup. Overall I love any active sports in nature such as hiking and climbing. I am fascinated by nature and especially by astronomy.Interests

More details about your skills
Hanna:
- working in international Teams & communication
During my study, we mainly worked in international groups, where I often took on the role as coordinator quite naturally, but also adapted to the characteristics of my team members.
- broad cultural understanding & languages
After immersing myself into cultures that are really different from each other, I can say that I am able to adapt easily. Also, I speak English and Spanish fluently, have basic skills in French and know a little bit of Persian, while German is my native language.
- Equestrian & horse care
I had the privilege to grow up with horses where I learned to take on responsibility really early and to complete all the tasks that fall into horse caring and barn maintenance.
- basic gardening skills (Hanna & Farhad)
Last summer we grew vegetables and fruits for the first time and got fascinated by the magic of seeing how things grow.
- Kitchen, bartending, service & events (Hanna & Farhad)
From helping out at my mother's catering service we learned to work in a professional kitchen and to carry out events. Also, I completed a bartender course and we both serve drinks here and there.
- teaching
I worked in a language school for 2 years where I did tutoring in (Business) English, German and Spanish, but also accompanied children with their homework and anything that was important. I mainly worked with children and teenagers who immigrated recently. Before, I also did tutoring on a voluntary base for young immigrated adults. I was surprised how much fun I had and how patience became a skill I never knew I had.
- mental strength & spirituality
A few years ago I had a breakdown that tought me to reconnect with myself, stop living in a rush and start living every moment. Ever since I approach things from a grounded perspective and follow my intention instead of systems and structures.
- sports & activities
I love being active and trying new sports. Besides horse riding I went to the gym for several years. In Argentina I learned playing field hockey and tried climbing once. I love doing yoga flows. Two things I would love to learn are surfing & diving, skiing is also on my list. And of course, I aboslutely love hiking and anything that involves nature.
Farhad:
- manual skills, creativity & flexibility
I work as an Electrician and I am good at repairing stuff of all sorts. The way I grew up I always learned to make things work with the fewest resources, which gave me a lot of creativity and flexibility. 'That's broken and can be thrown away' is a sentence you won't hear from me. There's barely anything I cannot fix.
- ambition & endurance
Nothing in life came to me easily. I learned to work hard and deal with my circumstance already as a child. What can be seen as a barrier to life made me achieve every goal I set for myself, no matter how difficult the path seemed. Rather, I took on all the barriers as my tasks to be completed.
- strategic thinking & problem solving
Thinking things through is one of my strengths. Especially when I do things I haven't done before it's important to oversee a certain plan. That's why I also love strategic games like chess and backgammon. This skill also challenges my ambitious characteristic since loosing certainly isn't my strength. I would consider myself as crisis-proof since I am able to keep a clear mind in tricky situations which gives me the ability to quickly find solutions.
- Teamwork, cultural understanding & languages
I was raised in two cultures that are completely different from the culture I live in now. I am also used to work in international teams and giving instructions despite language barriers. My native language is Dari (spoken in Afghanistan) and I learned Farsi when my family and I moved to Iran. I managed to speak German fluently already within a year, and I am now in the process of learning English.
- sports & activities - physical strength
I am super active and care a lot about my own fitness. So there is barely a sport I wouldn't like to try! Workouts, hiking, cycling & playing chess are my favourite activities. A practical benefit of my fitness is the ability to carry and lift heavy weights and complete tasks that require high physical effort.Age
