Description
Hi there! I'm Omar, a Psychology student from the United States. I'm currently traveling, road-tripping, and learning about the world around me. I would like to work and develop skills that not only help me but to leave some small mark on the people I help.
I enjoy talking to people, hearing about their lives, and learning from them. It's my favorite thing! I'm also fond of trying new foods, helping people, and making new friends. I'm very laid back, friendly, and open-minded, so don't hesitate to say hello!Interests

I'm very knowledgeable about computers and using technology. In 2019, I worked at a Modern Art Museum in Belgium, where I helped clean exhibits, assist in the kitchen, do maintenance, and clean some of the rooms people could rent. It was a rewarding experience getting to meet people from all around the world and contribute in my own way.
In 2020, I worked at an eco-lodge in Morocco. There, I helped with almost everything from bartending to setting tables and cleaning the rooms. The views were amazing and the people even more so.
Lastly, in 2021, I worked at a hostel in Taiwan. I helped check guests in, clean rooms and prepare rooms, as well as clean common areas for our guests. Taiwanese food was incredible!
I've worked all kinds of jobs; I've delivered newspapers, been a line cook at a BBQ restaurant, cleaned houses and apartments, tutored high school kids, worked as a Deli Clerk, worked at department stores and grocery stores. I've also volunteered to serve and prepare food for the less fortunate, as well as volunteered at conferences and events.Age

I'm really interested in learning about carpentry, building things, and construction in general. I'm also interested in languages, history, and stories.

It was my absolute fortune to stay, work, help, laugh, share stories, share trips, share meals, and live simple moments with Ellis & Sanna.
I learned so much I’m not sure if it was a win-win like Ellis… read more
Omar is an amazing person, extremely knowledgeable, capable and keen to turn his hand to anything.
Omar is wise beyond his years and a great conversationalist.

Because he was here during the lockdown he spent a good, long 3 months of rice farming. He helped with land… read more
When he left I felt a deep sadness. I am honored to have met him and more honored that he considers me his friend.
If I stop and think of all the people he will meet, all the places along his way it gives me a deep joy.
It is in the shedding and becoming less, not more.
