I’m starting law school in fall 2025, and I’ve taken time beforehand to travel and experience life outside of an academic setting. I recently spent three months backpacking solo through Southeast Asia, which really deepened my love for travel, meeting new people, and stepping outside of my comfort zone.

What motivates me most is connection—both with people and with new environments. I genuinely enjoy being social, learning from others’ perspectives, and immersing myself in different ways of living. I also love animals (my dad has ten cats at home, so I’m very used to being around them!), and I find a lot of joy in caring for and spending time with them.

I’m especially interested in using a Workaway experience to slow down a bit and connect more with nature. While I don’t have a ton of hands-on experience with gardening or outdoor work yet, I’m very eager to learn and try new things. I see this as an opportunity to build new skills, be helpful, and contribute meaningfully while also growing personally.

I’m someone who likes to push myself outside my comfort zone in thoughtful ways—whether that’s through travel, new types of work, or creative pursuits. Overall, I’m motivated by curiosity, connection, and the chance to be part of something different from my usual routine.

I’ve lived in the U.S. my whole life and am a native English speaker, so I’m very happy to help with English practice in a relaxed and supportive way—whether that’s through conversation, helping with pronunciation, or just day-to-day communication. I also studied French for about eight years, though I’ve definitely lost some of it over time. I’d love the opportunity to practice and improve again if I’m in a French-speaking environment, and I really enjoy language exchange in general. More broadly, I’m very interested in cultural exchange—learning how people live in different places, picking up bits of language, and sharing my own experiences as well. I see that as a big part of what makes this kind of experience meaningful.

I bring a strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive, adaptable attitude to any environment. I worked for three years as a legal assistant, which required me to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable. I’m very comfortable managing responsibilities, following through on tasks, and communicating clearly.

I’m physically fit and happy to help with hands-on work, whether that’s cleaning, organizing, basic outdoor tasks, or anything that requires energy and consistency. I’m very open to different types of work and am willing to jump in wherever needed.

I’m a native English speaker and would be glad to help with language practice or cultural exchange. I also really enjoy working with animals and have a lot of experience being around and caring for them.

Overall, I’d describe myself as proactive, responsible, and easy to get along with. I take pride in being someone hosts can rely on, and I’m excited to contribute in a meaningful way while learning new things.

In my free time, I enjoy watching TV and movies, playing card and board games, and spending time outdoors. I’ve been getting more into running and hiking recently and really enjoy staying active. I’m always happy to join in on group activities or just spend time relaxing and connecting with people.
