Hey there!

I'm currently taking a gap year and have been looking forward to traveling again for many years now. I'm very enthusiastic to try and learn everything I don't know yet but also share my own skills and experiences. I like to think of myself as an active, social and adventurous person :)

I have just attained my bachelor in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences, of which many electives were courses within international devolpement studies, gender studies and conflict & human security. I wrote my thesis on the importance of NGO's contributing to female empowerment within the dutch government. Hopefully, you can tell I am passionate about gaining knowledge on development cooperation. But I am also very passionate about gaining experience in this field. Not solely for future academic or (hopefully potential) career opportunities but because I have been privileged to have already seen many places in the world. Meeting so many people and experiencing vastly different cultures inspires me to contribute to the many forms of "global goodness" I've experienced.

Before my bachelors, I've volunteered as an English teacher in both Colombia and the Philippines which has mad me very keen on volunteering again (doesn't have to be as a teacher). But I also would love to learn more about the social and governmental structures NGO's have to navigate in, and I guarantee that I can be of value to your organisation in many ways. I am very creative and social. Additionally, I've had experience organising a banquet to raise money for academic scholarships for Philippines students.

I have around 5 years of waitressing experience. I have also had a job taking Covid tests from staff members in healthcare. Furthermore, I am very active within my student association, having been on many committees. The most recent duty I've fulfilled was designing a website and running the social media accounts (editing videos and photo's).

I love music! Playing, dancing, listening, singing and sharing music . I play the guitar and a bit of piano and have been dancing since I could walk. I love learning foreign dance styles ( the Dutch can't dance haha). I enjoy salsa, bachata, and many more :) I also love to cook and try out new recipes ( the Dutch cuisine is almost as bland as its dancing culture). I have always been very active and love playing different sports and hiking.
