Hello! My name is Nienke, I'm 25 summers young.

Three summers ago I had my first workaway experience. Apart from workaway I also have dear friends with a vineyard in Italy, i visit them often, stay with them and help on the land.

I am currently in Romania! Here I am also visiting friends (I met them 2 years ago via workaway). They have a wonderful permaculture project going on.
Its so nice to be in Romania again. I am open to see new places and meet new people. Connect, help and learn from each other. I love to have the earth below me, the stars above me and feel the wind through my hair. And I am absolutely not afraid of getting my hands dirty..! I love working and being outside. I am looking forward to new workaway experiences. Espacially workaway that exists out of love for life and nature.

My experience with working outside includes mostly gardening, working on a vineyard, working with wood (trimming) and taking care of animals. I have had my own vegetable garden for a few years and did voluntary work at a community garden. So I do have knowledge about gardening. When I was 12 years old I started doing voluntary work at a pedding zoo, animal shelter and horse riding school. I did a minor in Nature-education, because I'm really interested in the natural world and sharing those wonders with other people. I'm also good with children. And I like exploring nature, painting, reading stories with them (etc.). Patience, connection, curiosity, admiration.. those are things I find important in daily life.

Hobbies of mine are being outside, working with my hands, gardening, listening and dancing to music, writing, laughing, reading, connecting, learning from each other, photography, eating and being together (although I also love my alone time). And learning new things; especially about farming and living with nature. In September I will follow to courses: one about the Waldorf philosophy and one where I will learn how to give workshops to a group of people in nature! :)

As a teenager I have worked as a volunteer at a petting zoo and i did horse riding. A few years ago, when I lived in a city I had a garden at the community garden where i also did volunteering work. I did a internship by the Haagse Zwam (they pick up coffee grounds and grow oyster mushrooms on it). And l did an internship at a coachings company for girls and young women (I studied Applied Psychology).

I love photography, working with my hands and doing creative stuff.. like painting, drawing, dancing, collecting/drying leafs and make things with them.

And i am open to learn new things!
