Hello! Such big questions, but here's a little about what motivates me:

I have a Masters in Philosophy (working on theories of labour and liberation), and have since worked in climate tech, education, and London's art world, where for the past two years I've been a curator and gallery manager. I love art but the industry was taking a toll, and I was craving exploration, new musical cultures, and nature!

I worked on a permaculture farm and eco-community in Sweden in August 2022 which I loved, and I knew I wanted to do more similar work across the world!

The stars aligned in Autumn 2023 - I left my job and flat in London and made my way to Brazil to begin my travels by studying bossa nova guitar in Rio for 6 weeks. My plan is to then make my way across South America, volunteering and spending time supporting permaculture / educational projects in beautiful landscapes whilst improving my language and musical understanding :)

I've travelled across China and South Korea in the past - in Korea, I lived for 3 months working as an English Language teacher (I have a CELTA qualification, and many years experience in private tuition). I'm very open and sociable, and love a good philosophical conversation with whoever is interested. If you there are any musical instruments available, I'm always up for jamming and playing around - I studied cello for 8 years, and have been learning guitar for 7 years, so very enthusiastic!

Relevant Experience / Expertise:

Agriculture/Farming:
- I have worked on permaculture farms in Sweden (2022) and Brazil (2024); cutting grass (my favourite task!), planting trees vegetables and legumes, feeding and caring for livestock (poultry and cows).
- grew up on a rural farm in England

Education:
- CELTA-qualified English Language Teacher, with a BA and MA in Philosophy from Cambridge University
- 3 years teaching experience in London and South Korea, teaching students ages 11 - 25yr in English, Maths, and Philosophy.

Art:
- 2 years experience as a gallery manager for an art gallery in Dalston, East London. Installation, curation, mural design, social media (managed the gallery instagram with 42k followers), and event management

I love chess, would love to play if there's a board!

I'm also a big book lover - would appreciate recommendations for favourite local writers and poets :)

I'm very into sports - always down to play volleyball, tennis, or go on a long hike and a swim.
